According to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) website – This marvellous bridge can easily accommodate 24,000 vehicles in both directions and is 300 meters long and 22 meters wide!
Recently, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE visited this extraordinary bridge before it was open to the traffic. He visited it earlier this week and remarked that infrastructure projects are the main pillars of the comprehensive development process in Dubai. He was quoted as saying by RTA that “The road and transport sector is a vital sector that supports economic growth and social welfare, and we continue to advance it, and our investments in it have exceeded 140 billion dirhams over the past fifteen years,”

Al Shindagha Corridor Project – Infinity Bridge
The Infinity Bridge is part of the Al Shindagha Corridor Project and the first announcement for this project was made in 2018. RTA’s Al Shindagha Corridor is a major strategic development project for Dubai. This project is divided into 11 segments. The construction for this project began in 2016 and will be finished by 2027, As per the Khaleej Times.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has closed the 46 years old Al Shindagha Tunnel. It was earlier connecting Deira with Bur Dubai but now the new infinity bridge connects them and saves a lot of time for people.
