Mandatory temperature checks will have to be undertaken at the state borders. This includes tourist arriving through airports, bus stations or train stations. The Uttrakhand government has also stated that “District administration shall make arrangement for the thermal screening of all inbound persons at border check posts, airport, railway stations and border district bus stands.”

Social distancing norms are mandatory and every tourist has to wear a mask while in Uttarakhand. If any person is found to be symptomatic of coronavirus, they will be asked to undergo the antigen test by the district administration. In case a person tests positive, Standard Operating Protocols with regards to quarantine and social distancing will have to be followed.

Every state has come up with its own way of tracking a person’s entry and exit. Uttarakhand has made it compulsory to register details on their Smart City web portal to track the data of potential carriers of the virus. Necessary documents will have to be uploaded at the time of registration on the portal.
