I recently went on a trip to Baku and Tbilisi with two friends, organized by Pickyourtrail, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. They managed everything from visas, transfers, tours and internal flight to accommodating our preference for staying in Airbnbs. I did face an issue with my visa during immigration in Baku, which required me to apply for an urgent visa on my own. Despite this challenge, everything went smoothly afterward, and the goodwill and support from Pickyourtrail were truly commendable. They consistently checked in to ensure everything was back on track, which I highly appreciated as a customer. The tour planning was seamless, and we had great drivers throughout the journey. A special mention to Mr. Fikrat in Baku, who was not only punctual but also incredibly considerate of our needs. We felt so comfortable with him that we could leave without needing to give any instructions. Our drivers in Tbilisi, Mr. Zako and Mr. Bando, were also excellent and ensured our journey was smooth and enjoyable. One suggestion for improvement: it would be helpful if the detailed itinerary could be shared a bit earlier, so we can review it and suggest any changes if needed. Overall, Pickyourtrail delivered an amazing experience, and we are already looking forward to planning our future trips with them for ourselves and our families. Thank you for the great trip and the wonderful support throughout!Vinamrata Agnihotri, Trip to Azerbaijan

Baku 4 Nights Classic City Tour Itinerary

Baku, the vibrant capital of Azerbaijan, invites you for an unforgettable 4-night adventure filled with rich history, architectural wonders, and warm local culture. Nestled along the Caspian Sea, this city is a perfect blend of the ancient and the modern, making it an enchanting destination that promises unique experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.

Highlights of the Destination

  • Stunning Architecture: From the medieval Maiden Tower to the futuristic Heydar Aliyev Center, Baku showcases a fusion of styles that illustrates its dynamic history and innovative spirit.
  • Old City Exploration: The medieval fortress of Icherisheher is a UNESCO World Heritage site, home to quaint streets and local artisans, offering a taste of Baku's rich history.
  • Night Tours: Experience Baku's vibrant nightlife with a night tour that illuminates the Flame Towers and the boulevard, providing stunning cityscapes under the starry sky.
  • Natural Wonders: Explore the Mud Volcanoes and Gobustan National Park, where ancient rock carvings and geologically unique landscapes await adventurers and history enthusiasts alike.

Travel Tips for Baku

  • Dress Comfortably: The city's diverse terrains may require different outfits; comfortable shoes are a must for exploring both historical sites and natural landscapes.
  • Try Local Cuisine: Don't miss out on tasting traditional dishes like Plov and Dolma, which are a big part of Azerbaijani culture.
  • Currency and Payments: The local currency is the Azerbaijani Manat; ATMs are readily available, but carrying some cash is wise for smaller vendors.
  • Language: While many locals speak English, learning a few basic phrases in Azerbaijani can enrich your interactions.

Conclusion

Baku's charm lies not just in its landmarks, but in its people, culture, and the small moments you'll share. From gazing at the Caspian Sea's sunset to exploring the narrow lanes of the Old City, your 4-night stay in this vibrant city will be nothing short of magical. Prepare yourself for an incredible journey through one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

We went on a trip to Azerbaijan.. All the arrangements were perfect ... The transfers were all made on time. The team could have taken care about the opening of the Lavender field .. We missed it as it was closed due to off season . On the whole we enjoyed the trip !
