  3. Baku 8 Nights 9 Days Classic City Tour Itinerary

Embark on a remarkable journey through Baku, Azerbaijan’s capital, where ancient history meets vibrant modernity. An 8 nights and 9 days classic city tour is the perfect opportunity to uncover the city's captivating tales, scenic vistas, and bustling traditions. Picture yourself strolling through the medieval streets of the Old City, Icherisheher, and gazing at the breathtaking Flame Towers piercing the skyline. Whether it's sampling local cuisine or experiencing the rich culture, every moment promises to be memorable.

Highlights of the Destination

  • Old City (Icherisheher): This UNESCO World Heritage site is a labyrinth of ancient architecture, including the Maiden Tower and the Shirvanshahs Palace, giving you a real taste of Baku’s rich history.
  • Flame Towers: Standing tall as a symbol of modern Baku, these iconic skyscrapers light up the skyline, offering panoramic city views that are nothing short of spectacular at night.
  • Highland Park: Perched above the city, this viewpoint gifts visitors with sweeping views of Baku and the Caspian Sea, perfect for those Instagram shots.
  • Little Venice: A charming addition to Baku Boulevard, this picturesque section features gondola-style boat rides, ideal for a romantic evening.

Travel Tips for Baku

  • Currency Exchange: The local currency is the Azerbaijani manat. Make sure to exchange some money upon arrival as smaller shops might not accept cards.
  • Public Transport: While Baku’s public transport is straightforward, taxis can be a convenient way to navigate the city and are relatively affordable.
  • Respect Local Customs: Azerbaijan is a Muslim country, so it’s wise to dress modestly, especially when visiting mosques or rural areas.
  • Language: Azerbaijani is the official language; however, many locals in tourist areas speak a good level of English, making communication easier.

Conclusion

A journey through Baku is an enriching experience that offers not just sightseeing but also personal connections with its people and culture. From the enchanting streets of the Old City to the shimmering beauty of the Caspian Sea, each corner of Baku tells a story. So, pack your bags, embrace the adventure, and let Baku’s charm enchant you during these 8 nights and 9 days of exploration.

We went on a trip to Azerbaijan.. All the arrangements were perfect ... The transfers were all made on time. The team could have taken care about the opening of the Lavender field .. We missed it as it was closed due to off season . On the whole we enjoyed the trip !
