Bangkok Ocean World: Submerge into an Underwater Wonderland

Visit Bangkok Ocean World, also known as (formerly known as) Siam Ocean World, for a unique underwater encounter with our marine friends. Given that Bangkok Ocean World is an underground aquarium, there is no ideal time of year to visit. Regardless of whether it is high season or low season, it can be visited at any time of the year. The Bangkok Ocean World is open from 10:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night. You could visit this aquarium in the afternoon to avoid the tropical heat. If you want to avoid crowds, the best time to visit Bangkok Ocean World is in the late afternoon around 5:00. This region can be covered in anywhere between 90 and 180 minutes.

One of Southeast Asia's biggest aquariums, Bangkok Ocean World is 10,000 square meters in size. Directly below the Paragon Mall, in its basement, is where you'll find the aquarium. There are many things to do to keep us entertained, including feeding the marine animals, photographing them, riding in glass boats, and going to a 4-D theatre.

• Coral Reef: Look out for vibrant corals and fishes like lionfish, clownfish and eels.
• Rocky Shore: The feeding session of cute penguins and turtles are attractions here.
• Ocean Tunnel: Home to giant predators like sharks and rays e.g: sand tiger sharks.
• Shark Shipwreck:  A man-made shipwreck zone which consists of sharks.
• Tropical Ocean: Home to colourful and vivid fishes like Longfin Bannerfish and eels
• Sea Horse Kingdom: House stunning sea-horses like Big Belly Seahorses
• Rainforest Adventure: Home to a variety of tropical creatures including fish, turtles, frogs and snakes.
• Penguin Ice Playground: Have fun visiting these active penguins and the nearby gaming zone
• Rocky Hideouts: A hideout spot for giant spider crabs and a giant pacific octopus.
• Rockpools: Get personal with starfish and crabs by touching them.

In addition, the 4-D Theatre experience immerses us right into the universe of our favourite animated characters, like SpongeBob SquarePants. The kids will enjoy this more because of its adventure-themed ride experience. On the glass boat ride, we can travel directly over the ocean's predators. In the centre of Bangkok's commercial district, in the basement of the Paragon Mall, is where you'll find the Bangkok Ocean World. The BTS Skytrain, which provides the quickest and most affordable travel option, is the best way to get to the mall. The Paragon Mall is directly accessible from exit gate 5.
