Best time to visit Tegallalang Rice Terraces

Before planning your trip to this Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Bali, also know which are the best months suggested. The fields are green in the months but you can find it the greenest in March, April, May, September and October as these are harvesting months. From April to September, you can see it have more of a yellowish tint. Make sure to check the weather conditions out if you are planing it anytime in the rainy season. Entrance fee and Operating hours

Entrance fee – You will be asked to pay an entrance fee of 15000 IDR and for parking, it’s 5000 IDR. The ticket can be bought at the ticket counter right in front of the Tegellalang Rice Terraces. Kindly make sure you bring the fee in IDR. There are few other places inside the fields, where you might need to pay.

Operating hours – It usually operates from 7 AM to 6 PM. In order to avoid crowds, the Bali heat and witness some real golden colours, you can visit in the early morning or later afternoon.

2. The Coffee of Bali

Down the road from Kampung resorts, you can find the Alas Harum which is a Kopi Luwak farm. It is one of the very expensive drinks but you can taste it at a much cheaper rate. Moreover, you can also learn about their coffee-making process too. Every coffee lover must try this on your visit.

3. Pakudui Village

Pakudui Village, also known as the Garuda village is located near the Tegallalang Rice Terrace in Bali. The best thing about the village is the locals who are mostly sculptors.   3. Alon-Alon Terrace Cafe: Situated right in the middle of fields, it offers a great view with both western and local food.
  4. Terrace Padi Cafe: Located close to the swing. A must try while you are there trying out the swing.
  5. Rice Terrace Cafe: Very popular as it offers a rooftop seating. Best food with the best view!

  • Try visiting in the early morning or later afternoon to witness the beautiful sunrise and sunset.
  • Spend at least 3-5 hours exploring the places and especially the Pakudui markets to have an all-round experience.
  • To avoid crowded locations, try Campuhan and Pejeng or the jungle down the valley.
  • It is great if you are self-driving to this place by a scooter as there are so many beautiful places to look at, along the way.

How to Reach Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Bali

  • You can hire a scooter or a car from Ubud. The Tegallalang is situated 9 km away from the centre of Ubud which would take around 20 minutes to reach. This place has parking with charges included.
