It takes its name from the manta cleaning stations that are located on the island called Lankanfinolhu (meaning: paradise). Manta Ray night diving experience is also available for folks who like the extra adrenaline kick. 12. Swimming with Manta Rays 

The best months to see manta rays is from September to October and December to May. Hanifaru Bay is one of the most sought after places in Maldives to swim with Manta rays. The bay is known to attract more than a 100 manta rays on full moon days.  The world’s largest feeding station for Manta ray is at Hanifaru Bay. No excuse is big enough for folks to experience this during their visit to the Maldives.

April to October is generally the months suggested to surf in the beautiful waters of Maldives. The thing to note is that different Atolls have different recommended surfing seasons and one needs to check for this before booking the resort for surfing.
