Why Choose Belgium for Your Next Trip?
Belgium has become a favourite add-on and standalone stop for Indian travellers who want fairy-tale towns without long transfers. Whether you are planning your first holiday in Europe or your fifth, here is why Belgium deserves a place on your list.
- Fairy-tale medieval towns: Bruges and Ghent look like postcards, with canals, gabled houses, belfries and cobbled lanes.
- Everything is close: Brussels to Bruges takes about an hour by train, and Brussels to Ghent or Antwerp about 35 to 50 minutes, so you can base yourself in one or two cities.
- Brussels's grand sights: The Grand-Place, Atomium, Manneken Pis, Royal Palace and the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert give the capital character.
- Chocolate, waffles and beer: Belgium is famous for pralines, fresh waffles, fries and a huge range of beers, and chocolate workshops are a family favourite.
- Comics and art: Brussels celebrates Tintin and the Smurfs through its comic-strip murals, while museums showcase Magritte and Flemish masters.
- Great for families: Mini-Europe, the Atomium, Walibi Belgium, Bruges boat rides and chocolate workshops keep children engaged.
- Romantic for couples: Canal cruises, candlelit dinners and horse-drawn carriage rides make Bruges a classic honeymoon stop.
- Indian links in Antwerp: The city's diamond district has a long-established Indian business community, and Indian restaurants are easy to find.
- Easy to combine: Amsterdam is about 2 hours from Brussels by train, Paris about 1 hour 20 minutes and London about 2 hours by Eurostar.
- Christmas magic: Brussels, Bruges and Ghent hold festive markets with lights, skating rinks and mulled wine.
From romantic escapes to family adventures and city breaks, Belgium tour packages make it easy to plan a trip around the experiences that matter most to you.

Are Belgium Packages Under ₹2 Lakh possible?
Yes, a Belgium package with flights may fit under ₹2 lakh per person. A 5–6 night trip with return economy flights, 3–4 star hotels, transfers and selected sightseeing can fit within this budget outside high-demand periods, depending on live fares and availability. To keep Belgium packages from India within this range, avoid July, August and Christmas weeks; choose well-located 3-star or 4-star hotels; limit the trip to Brussels, Bruges and one more city; and book rail and attraction tickets early.
What Increases Your Belgium Trip Cost?
- Travel season: Summer and the Christmas-market period push up flights and hotels.
- Hotel category and location: Central 4- and 5-star hotels and Bruges old-town stays cost more than 3-star stays.
- Number of bases: More cities mean more train tickets, transfers and hotel changes.
- Private services: Private guides and chauffeur transfers cost more than shared options.
- Multi-country add-ons: Amsterdam, Paris and London need extra train or flight tickets.
- Booking window: Prices can change depending on availability and how early you book.

I strongly recommend booking holidays through Pickyourtrail. They planned our Euro trip exactly as per our requirements, were always available for any visa queries and booking appointments in case we faced issues and while we were on vacation the support team was always available for help. They were proactive in offering help and prompt in providing support. Great team indeed! I don't think I will ever look for an alternative to them. Keep up the brilliant work team Pickyourtrail!
