Frequently Asked Questions
Do Indian passport holders need a visa for Australia and New Zealand?
Yes. Apply for an eVisitor (Australia) or Visitor Visa (New Zealand) online. Both processes require proof of funds, travel itinerary, and health declarations.
What is the minimum budget for a 10‑day Australia trip from India?
Mid‑range travel (flights, hotels, car hire, activities) starts at ₹2–2.5 lakh per person. Costs can be optimised by booking early and choosing off‑peak seasons.
When is the best time to visit New Zealand for hiking and adventure sports?
Summer (December–February) offers warm weather and full access to hiking trails, bungee jumping, and water sports. Shoulder seasons (March–April, October–November) are less crowded.
Can I include the Pacific Islands (Fiji, Samoa) in the same itinerary as Australia/New Zealand?
Yes, many travellers combine Australia/New Zealand with Fiji or Vanuatu by adding short flights. Check multi-destination fares and regional airlines like Fiji Airways.
What are the top bucket‑list experiences in Oceania?
- Diving/snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef
- Hiking the Milford Track (NZ)
- Sydney Opera House tour
- Māori cultural experiences in Rotorua
- Volcanic landscapes on White Island (NZ)
How do I plan for extreme weather events (cyclones, bushfires) in Oceania?
Travel insurance with natural disaster coverage is essential. Monitor local weather advisories via Bureau of Meteorology (Australia) and MetService (NZ) websites, and be flexible with your itinerary.

I had a wonderful experience with my first international trip which was Balu. Since its my first time visit, I has relatively very low to no experience & PickmyTrail guided me each step. They answered numerous questions that I was holding & supported me throughout my journey. Solo travel is fun but its safe when you are guided in right way throughout the trip. Thank you guys!

Trip was excellent. Just few things u guys need to improve. Firstly , u guys can try giving a city tour on the very first day to enhance the knowledge about the place. Secondly, try to keep a single driver for a day. Otherwise everything was good. No complains. Harish.S , our trip custodian was very helpful and was on his toes during the whole trip. Thank u Harish for ur guidance and amiability. Overall i would like to thank pick ur trail for making our trip inconvenience free and memorable. Tysm
