After arriving in the Maldives, your first stop in the Maldives 10 days itinerary should be in Maafushi. Don’t pack too heavily and apply sunscreen before heading to the local island. On your first day, indulge in local cuisine comprising mainly seafood along with juicy vegetables and soup. Roti (a type of flatbread), spicy tuna, curry, and a lot of seafood are some popular dishes available on this island. Did you know the ingredients you will find in these dishes are grown and cooked by locals here? Next, head to Bikini Beach, where you feel free to relax, enjoy the warmth of the sun and get a nice tan.

2. Day 2: Scuba Diving on Maafushi

Your Maafushi trip would be incomplete if you don’t engage in an underwater dive. If you are an experienced, a beginner, or an intermediate diver, you can register yourself at one of the many diving schools around Maafushi. You will be accompanied by trained divers on your real dive adventure. When you are underwater, you can expect to find a variety of species like reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, giant tunas, manta rays, and other smaller reef fishes. Kuda Giri Wreck (a large cargo boat covered by hard and soft corals), the Cocoa Corner (picturesque underwater landscape full of caves), and Guraidhoo Corner (great drift diving) are some interesting sites you can go to.

3. Day 3: Experience Maafushi’s water sports

As it is evident from this picture, there is a water sports beach beside the harbour, where you can jet ski, windsurf, or parasail, among other options. The only thing you need to do is stay safe and pay attention to the staff. The more you engage in water sports, the more you will crave many such things on Maafushi Island.

4. Day 4: A visit to Himmafushi Island

On day 4 of your Maldives 10 days itinerary, you will be setting off to another local island, Himmafushi. You will see a lot of fish as locals are engaged in the fishing business here. One marvellous thing you will encounter here is local carpenters making traditional dhoni boats of various sizes. As you can see in the picture, this island houses some of the best and most harmonious waves amongst the Maldivian islands. Also, feel the energy rushing up against you as you go surfing through the waves.

5. Day 5: Fulidhoo Island Tour

On day 5 of your 10-day Maldives holiday, grab a few snorkelling gears to snorkel around the magnificent coral gardens. If you are not up for snorkelling, you may very well take a stroll around the small island. Also, go to the island’s only mosque and school, Masjid Al Athar and Vaavu Atoll School, respectively. However, you won’t see much of a crowd in Fulidhoo, as it does not get many tourists. Nevertheless, surely engage in the cultural dances taking place at night. There are only two cafes on this island—Cafe De Orzo and Dream Hut Fulidhoo—so save your seats beforehand.

6. Day 6: Extra fun on Fulidhoo Island

Swimming in the ocean at night is the most daunting thing that you will experience on this trip. You can try out the Alimatha Night Dive, where you can swim alongside various nurse sharks. Moreover, you can even spot some manta rays on the sandy bottom. Additionally, get your camera ready and snap some amazing pictures. However, if you are looking for someplace to relax and chill, go for a cave diving site known as the Fulidhoo caves.

7. Day 7: Rasdhoo Island Tour

On day 7, head to Rasdhoo. It is a cosy, small island where you will be relaxing and having the best time of your life. Next, visit Bikini Beach and spend your time taking a dip in the water, laying down on the beach or sipping a drink. The most fun way you can spend your time is by swinging on a hammock strung between two palm trees. In the afternoon, fool around with your friends inside coffeehouses.  Cafe Ole, Lily Taste, Shadow Palm and Lemon Drop are a handful of cafes you can find on the island. In the evening, hop on a ferry and go dolphin watching as the sun sets.

8. Day 8: Manta Ray Diving on Rasdhoo Island

Do you want to witness stingrays without standing up at the pier? Here, you can watch them up and about doing daily activities and be right there with them. North Channel is one of the most popular dive spots on Rasdhoo Island. This location is said to be a manta cleaning station, where mantas and other fishes gather every manta season, from November to April. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or experienced diver, it is suitable for everyone, as it is a shallow dive. You can find many fish, such as large schools of jacks, groupers, whitetips, and sometimes, grey reef sharks, honeycomb moray eels and stingrays.

9. Day 9: Thoddo Island Tour

Your last stop in your Maldives tour will be Thoddo. Thoddo, famous for its fruit plantation, is also the largest producer of watermelons, fruits and vegetables. Did you know one-third of Thoddo’s land is covered in vegetation? You can find all kinds of fruits here—from papayas to chilli peppers. Fufu fruit, a winter melon, is mixed with curry leaves and used in curry. All the ingredients are grown on the island by locals themselves.

The last day in the Maldives does not call for a hectic day. Savour every last moment by going to the white sandy beach, snorkelling, or taking many photographs. Additionally, relax on a chair or a swing placed near the beach beside your loved ones while on Maldives honeymoon package.
