Thailand offers various modes of transport to get around. Tuk Tuks, Shuttle buses, Private car hire, trains, cruises you will find every mode of transport to suit your travel needs.

There are several languages spoken in Thailand. Of which, Thai is the most spoken language. And there is a huge chunk of people who speak a variant of Thai in Thailand. Khmer, Malay and Chinese are the other minority languages spoken in Thailand.

Thai Baht is the currency used in Thailand. Other currencies are not widely accepted in Thailand and hence it is advised to convert your respective currency to Thai Baht for your travel to Thailand.

6-7 days would be an ideal time to spend in Thailand owing to its vast landscape and an amazing list of islands to visit and umpteen things to do in them. Ideally 3 days in Bangkok, 2 days in Phuket, 2 days in Pattaya/Koh Samui/Krabi would be sound like a perfect itinerary.

The best time to take up Thailand tour would be anywhere between November and the end of February when the weather is cooler. Holidays like New Year and Christmas bring in the crowds, so remember to book well in advance. March to June is ideal if you are a beach person, also being just the time before the rains begin. If you avoid crowds and occasional rains do not bother you, you could probably choose the July to October period.

Thailand offers visa on arrival for Indians. Upon arrival at one of the 32 designated Immigration checkpoints, you have to furnish your airline boarding pass, visa application form duly filled, 4x6 recent passport size photograph, return flight tickets 15 days from the date of entry in Thailand, Thailand arrival card provided during flight, hotel booking confirmation for stay in Thailand, 10,000THB as proof of living expenses per person and finally 2000THB visa on arrival application fee.

Booking: booking process was smooth and timely updates on confirmation of our bookings was good. But the person who suggests the itinerary was not that great, as I felt he didn't guide us properly. They will call you on everyday till you made booking after enquiry. No response from the suggesting team once I made my booking. I am not interested to disclose his name in particular. They don't know the correct visa process also . We have gone to Thailand, where they made visa free to Indians, during our travel period, which these guys are unaware of. They called timely before our travel, the person assigned was good in explaining what he knew.\nTrip: the trip went well. They are very punctual in maintaining the time. The support was good during the travel from instant support tab of pickyourtrail app. The hotels which they booked were not that easily accessible in bangkok. We found difficulty in reaching and also in coordinating with the local drivers. The ground team are from lark holidays of Thailand. They are good as such but with minimal knowledge in English. Travelling to a country like Thailand with this holidays was not that great idea considering the lack of English speaking drivers and support staff. They initially charged us for private transfers all over the trip but during the trip, the booking agency provided shared transfer during our way to one of our activity and back.\nFor travel to thai, best way to carry money is thai baht, forex card seems costlier for me may be because of inexperience in using it. But no one explained me the pros and cons of various forms of currency before travel.Read more
