A Trans-Tasman Honeymoon vacation – Our First Big Leap after marriage

What’s so special about honeymoon trips? Its the start of a journey of a lifetime and will continue till death does them apart. About the trip plan

We planned our vacation to Pickyourtrail in the month of August and found ourselves on a flight to Brisbane on 10th Dec 2019. As we were going on a honeymoon, we didn’t want to spend most of our time planning the itinerary. It was also a trip for 17 nights which we wanted to be hassle-free. So we knew the best option would be to go with a trip planner and glad that we chose Pickyourtrail. Right from the patience they had in planning, booking, VISA assistance to reaching back home, they were just a ping away.

Days at Australia

The first city in our itinerary was Gold Coast. When planning the itinerary itself, we were so sure to include its famous attraction which is the theme parks. It was so much fun. We being fun-loving people, found it worth-visiting and would recommend to everyone who has a plan to visit the Gold Coast. Next, we landed in Sydney. We had two activities planned which were Sydney Harbor cocktail cruise and the must-visit Blue mountain tour. And took a picture in front of the very well structured Sydney Opera house which is mandatory 😛

The last city on our list was Melbourne where we had the Great Ocean Tour booked and a driver over there made us leave Australia with beautiful memories.

Days at New Zealand

We flew from Melbourne to Queenstown on 9t day of our itinerary. We had all the adrenaline rush activities. Milford, Skydive and Skyline Gondola were the three activities had. Out of which, Skydive was my favourite. It is a life-time experience and got it captured as well 🙂

We couldn’t visit Frans Josef. Instead visited Wanaka and Christchurch. As we had a rental car, that wasn’t an issue for us. From there, we moved to Auckland and stayed at the airport hotel for a night. The next day we drove to Rotorua and enjoyed the Waitomo glowworm caves. Having covered 7 out of 8 cities, the last place we visited was Auckland. The day we reached the city, we visited the Auckland Sky tower and got to witness an amazing view of the city. With the next day at leisure, we made our way back to India with tons and tons of sweet memories.
