A wonderful experience with PYT for my first international trip. It was well planned, so for someone who is travelling for the first time things became so easy. Rakshita's enthusiasm during the booking stage pushed me to book this trip. Then, Shabreen was available to help with the queries. And, Adithyan's constant check-ins during the trip made us feel very comfortable. The local agents were also always on time for pickup and drop. Overall, we had an amazing trip to Singapore.

I also had a great time visiting Little India and exploring the local markets. A must-visit destination for anyone looking for a mix of city life and natural beauty! Special thanks to Pick Your Trail agency for arranging a wonderful trip, including a driver and guide who were very good. They even made my son's birthday extra special with gifts and Mr. Dhayanathan's personal attention and help throughout the trip, ensuring we reached home safely. What Affects Your Singapore Trip Cost?

  • Departure city: Direct flights from Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad often offer competitive fares due to strong route frequency. Delhi and Mumbai have the most options.
  • Travel season: December and the Chinese New Year (January/February) periods see higher hotel and flight prices. February–April and July–September are more competitively priced.
  • Hotel location: Hotels near Marina Bay, Orchard, or Clarke Quay carry a premium. Staying in Bugis or Little India reduces accommodation costs without sacrificing connectivity.
  • Attraction passes: The Singapore Tourism Board's Singapore Pass bundles multiple attractions and can reduce per-entry costs for families covering Universal Studios, Night Safari, and the Gardens by the Bay conservatories.
  • Group size: Families and groups can share private transfers and villa-style stays to reduce the per-person cost meaningfully.
  • Advance booking: Singapore hotels book up fast during school holidays and peak periods. Booking 3–4 months out typically secures better rates and availability.

Practical Tips for Indian Travellers in Singapore

Money

  • Carry a forex card loaded with SGD, plus an international debit/credit card as backup.
  • ATMs are widely available, though foreign card withdrawal fees may apply depending on your bank.
  • UPI acceptance is limited in Singapore. Visa, Mastercard, contactless payments, and cash remain the most reliable options.

Connectivity

  • Buy a tourist SIM at Changi Airport on arrival. Major providers include Singtel, StarHub, and M1.
  • Pre-booking an eSIM before departure can save time and often offers better rates.
  • Free public Wi-Fi is available at many malls, MRT stations, airports, and tourist attractions.

Food

  • Hawker centres are the most authentic and affordable way to eat in Singapore.
  • Indian vegetarian restaurants are concentrated around Little India and Serangoon Road.
  • Inform your hotel and tour operator about dietary restrictions in advance if you prefer vegetarian, Jain, halal or other dietary preferences.

Safety

  • Singapore is considered one of the safest cities in the world for tourists.
  • Littering, smoking in restricted areas, and jaywalking can lead to fines. So, it is important to follow local rules in Singapore.
  • Singapore Police Force hotline: 1800-255-0000.

Weather & Packing

  • Light cotton clothing works best for Singapore’s year-round tropical heat and humidity.
  • Carry a compact umbrella or a lightweight rain jacket, as short afternoon showers are common throughout the year.
  • Temples and religious sites require modest clothing. So, pack outfits that cover shoulders and knees.
  • Indoor spaces such as malls, hotels and MRT trains are strongly air-conditioned, so carrying a light layer is helpful.

Shopping

  • The GST refund is not eligible for every purchase. Tourists must usually meet minimum spend requirements at participating retailers.

Common Mistakes Indians Make While Planning a Singapore Trip

  • Trying to cover too many attractions in a short 3–4 day trip, resulting in a rushed and exhausting itinerary.
  • Booking hotels far from MRT stations or major tourist areas to save a little money, then spending more time and money on daily transport.
  • Missing to claim the GST Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) before departure. Keep the receipts to claim refunds.
  • Travelling during Chinese New Year without checking restaurant and shop closures, as some local businesses may operate on reduced hours during the holiday period.
  • Skipping hawker centres and eating only at malls or chain restaurants, missing out on Singapore’s most authentic and affordable food culture.

We are from Chennai and recently completed a 10-day family trip to Singapore and Malaysia arranged by Pick Your Trail, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The planning, coordination, and support provided throughout the trip were exceptional. Both the Chennai team and the on-ground support team Hem Keshav, Anju, Adithyan, and Catherine were extremely responsive and helpful whenever needed, which made our journey smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. The only minor issue we faced was during the hotel check-in at Furama Hotel in Malaysia, where there was a waiting time of around 30 minutes because the booking details did not include the booking ID. Apart from this small inconvenience, everything else was very well managed. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip memorable. We truly appreciate the excellent service and continuous support provided throughout the tour. We would strongly recommend Pick Your Trail to anyone planning an international vacation and look forward to booking future trips with your agency.

Heartfelt Thanks for Making Our Singapore Trip Special...From my very first call, Austin and Shabreen were incredibly reassuring. I still remember Austin telling me, Madam, safety is ensured you and your kids will be safe. Those words meant more to me than I can explain. They gave me the confidence and strength to go ahead with the trip. Two days before our departure, Adityan reached out and supported us throughout helping with navigation, checking in on us, and ensuring everything was seamless. Every detail, from airport pickups to hotel arrangements to our return drop-off, was handled perfectly. Traveling in a different country can feel overwhelming, but knowing there was a dedicated team supporting me was like having a strong pillar behind us. The WhatsApp travel support group was especially thoughtful quick responses, real-time assistance, and constant reassurance made a world of difference. Please extend my heartfelt thanks to Adityan, Austin, Shabreen, Cathereen, and the entire team who worked behind the scenes to make this trip smooth and memorable.

I have booked my Singapore Tour with PYT, for my Family. Their response, communication and customer service was very good. Especially Kesav from sales team and Karthik in India and Catherine, Thanu, Anand and Lavanya from the Singapore Gloworld team. They are very responsive and very flexible in arranging the itinerary. There are couple of issues regarding the Express Pass for universal studio and the weather. I kept asking for Express Pass, but was told it wouldn't be necessary, but if needed, I can upgrade it at the park. We visited the Park on 19th May 2025, a week day, but still its very crowded. Express Pass is necessary if you want to cover all the rides, especially the Rollercoaster rides, which have 60-90 mins waiting time. And you better buy it in advance, as buying in the park costs you s$110 per ticket, while in klook, you can get almost 1000 rs cheaper per ticket. Also they didn't inform us about the weather conditions. They should have recommended us to carry rain coats. People going to Singapore should carry a raincoat (umbrella's are not allowed in few attractions, eg: Wings of time, a ride in universal), as the weather is pretty unpredictable. Any how, Thanks guys for arranging such a memorable Vacation.

So I booked a trip to Singapore with PYT, and I cannot say how impressed I am with their service. Starting with their sales team, Rupjit helped at each and every step to construct my itinerary as per my liking and request. Also, the visa processing was very quick and smooth and Rinchen did a good job with it. Once the trip started the 24/7 support team of Shreya, Mohammed and Hariharan helped and accommodated each of my request and made sure it got fulfilled on time. A point to mention is their counterparts in Singapore which did a fabulous job. From sharing daily updates about the next day activities, they also shared how you can make out the best of that particular activity in the given time. Fantastic coordination and Fabulous experience! Will recommend everyone to avail their services.

5/5 Pickyourtrail made our Singapore trip absolutely flawless We travelled to Singapore from January 26 to January 31, 2026, to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and I can say without any hesitation that Pickyourtrail delivered a truly perfect experience start to finish. From the very first phone call, the professionalism was evident. There was no confusion, no vague promises, and no chasing. Every question we had was answered with clarity and warmth. The visa guidance was thorough and straightforward, which took a huge amount of stress off our shoulders well before we even packed our bags. The itinerary they put together was thoughtfully curated well-paced, age-appropriate, and genuinely exciting. It did not feel like a generic template. It felt like someone had actually listened to what we wanted and built something specifically for our family. What truly stood out, though, was the on-ground support in Singapore. At every step, they were just a WhatsApp message away. One message that is all it took. No waiting on hold, no being redirected, no uncertainty. Just prompt, helpful, and reassuring responses whenever we needed anything. For a family travelling internationally with a young child, this kind of availability is priceless. And then came the moment that made this trip unforgettable on January 30th, my daughter's birthday, Pickyourtrail had arranged a surprise cake for her. That one gesture meant the world to us. It showed that they were not just managing logistics; they genuinely cared about making this a special occasion. I want to be honest: we were apprehensive before booking. We had a deeply disappointing experience with another travel company previously, where on-ground support was virtually non-existent and we were left to figure things out on our own during the trip. That experience made us cautious. Pickyourtrail completely changed our perspective. There was not a single grey area, not a single moment where we felt unsupported or uncertain. If you are planning a destination trip and want complete peace of mind from the first conversation to the last day of your holiday Pickyourtrail is exactly where you should start. They are not just a travel company. They are a travel partner you can actually trust. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Pickyourtrail team. You made my daughter's birthday truly special, and you have earned a customer for life.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Singapore trip cost from India?

A Singapore trip from India typically costs between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 1,80,000+ per person, depending on hotel category, travel season, trip duration, and whether flights are included. Budget travellers can manage a 4–5 day trip with 3-star hotels and shared transfers starting around Rs. 36,000–50,000, while mid-range to premium experiences typically fall between Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 1,30,000.

Is a visa required for Indians visiting Singapore?

Yes. Indian passport holders cannot get a visa on arrival in Singapore. A pre-trip e-Visa must be applied for through an authorised visa agent or ICA Strategic Partner. The government processing fee is SGD 30 (approx. Rs. 1,900), plus an agent service fee of Rs. 500–1,500. Processing typically takes 3–5 working days.

What is the best time to visit Singapore from India?

February to April is generally the best time to visit Singapore from India — the driest and sunniest stretch of the year, with relatively manageable crowds and competitive hotel rates. July to September is a good shoulder-season option for budget travellers, with the Singapore Food Festival in July and National Day in August adding cultural interest.

What is the best Singapore 5-night 6-day package?

A Singapore 5 nights 6 days package that covers Marina Bay, Sentosa (with a full Universal Studios day), Gardens by the Bay, Night Safari, Clarke Quay, and Chinatown is among the most popular formats for Indian travellers. The ideal version includes a centrally located 4-star hotel, private airport transfers, breakfast daily, and pre-booked attraction tickets. Prices start from Rs. 65,000 per person for mid-range options.

What are the best Singapore tour packages for couples?

The best Singapore honeymoon packages typically include stays at Marina Bay Sands or waterfront boutique hotels on Sentosa, private transfers, a rooftop dinner experience, couples spa sessions, a sunset cable car ride to Sentosa, and a river cruise along the Singapore River. Prices for romantic packages start from Rs. 90,000 per person for premium experiences.

What is the best Singapore family tour package from India?

Singapore family tour packages from India work best when built around Universal Studios, the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, Gardens by the Bay, and Sentosa Island, with family suites, private transfers, and a relaxed 6–7 day itinerary. Including a one-day Legoland Malaysia extension (accessible by bus from Singapore) is a popular upgrade for families with young children.

Is Singapore better or Bali for a holiday?

Singapore is better suited for travellers who want a city experience — world-class infrastructure, food, theme parks, nightlife, shopping, and safety. Bali is typically chosen for a more relaxed, nature-focused, and wellness-oriented escape. For first-time international travellers from India, Singapore is often the easier and more comfortable choice. Combining both as a twin-centre itinerary is increasingly popular.

How many days are enough for Singapore?

5 to 7 days is the ideal duration for most Singapore itineraries. A 4-night trip covers the essentials comfortably; 6–7 nights allows for day trips to Batam or Bintan, a more relaxed city pace, and a fuller exploration of neighbourhoods like Kampong Glam and Tiong Bahru.

What does a Singapore tour package typically include?

Most Singapore trip packages from Pickyourtrail include handpicked hotel stays, daily breakfast, airport transfers, intercity transfers, visa documentation assistance, customised sightseeing plans, and 24×7 travel support. Flights, attraction tickets, and premium upgrades can be added based on your preference and budget.
