How to reach Auckland Zoo

  • You can reach the zoo by bus, the closest bus stop is 8124 on Great North road. You can get off in this stop walk in the opposite direction to reach the zoo on the motion road
  • You can also feel free to drive in with a private-public as this zoo offers you an ample parking facility for free of cost.

Costs: A day pass to roam and have fun around animals costs $35 for adults and $20 for children 

Know about Auckland Zoo

Please note that the zoo might be temporarily closed in certain climatic conditions and seasons to protect and take care of the animals. Kindly check the same before planning the visit.

  • A wheelchair facility is also available in the park for people with limited mobility.
  • Maintain a safety zone with the animals, do not touch or feed any animals.
  • Do not bring horns or other noise-making devices as they might trigger the animals.
  • Kindly avoid items such as frisbees, balls, and balloons as they are also prohibited inside the zoo.
  • The children must be always accompanied by an adult to supervise. An adult visitor can take charge of up to 6 children.
  • Pets are prohibited in the zoo area, you are allowed to bring only guide dogs with a certified license for the same.
  • Wear comfortable shoes to walk through the zoo area. It is advised to use sunscreen for long walks on different jungle tracks.
  • Kindly use insect repellent as the place is a natural environment housing different plants.

Zoo lates–Tales of the jungle

Hear stories of the wild raw and uncut from the Auckland zoo! Zoolates is an interactive event that presents the cute history of each animal. The show is scheduled throughout the day featuring unique species of the zoo. Diving into the adventurous stories of animals from the keepers, you can also consider a date night at the zoo late restaurant featuring a two-course dinner! Open up beautiful conservations amid the twilight to weave life memories!

Auckland zoo has been preserving and nurturing wildlife for more than a century now. To celebrate 100 years of history this place holds fancy exhibits describing the past, present, and future of the zoo. An interesting place to know more about the location and its history. Track- South East Asia

South East Asia’s jungle track is the largest track of the Auckland zoo housing one-fifth of the zoo's area. This diverse habitat has high canopy primates such as orangutans to the Wildlife gharial in the swamps. Also houses tigers and cute otters to look for! From the high canopy area, you can also walk across the aerial pathway to catch the spectacular views of the lake and its beauty. Then move into the Swamp forest intuitively designed to maintain the hot humid nature of Indonesia. You can see stunning gharial basking and other schools of colorful fishes roaming through the viewing panel.
