Mount Abang, Kintamani: Embark on Thrilling Trekking Adventures in Bali

Mount Abang, the second-most notable peak in Bali, stands tall at 2152 meters above sea level and is another great site to explore in Kintamani. Locals refer to it as the virgin mountain, and the walk takes the tourist to the summit of the daring environment. Along the way, the hundred years old green tropical woodland will soothe you.

The path to the summit takes you through a wonderful smokey woodland with many centuries-old trees, directly to the sunrise, where you might feel like you're in a mystery fairy tale above the clouds and Magnetic Island. Tourists can visit the split gates and numerous altars of an old temple that was damaged in 1926 by landslides brought on by Mount Batur's eruption at the summit of Mount Abang. It is the best place to visit in Bali if you want to explore more than beaches, temples, and waterfalls. 

The Mount Abang sunrise trekking tour is a breathtaking journey through the jungle and one of the best things to do in Bali. The entire route is lined with trees and bushes, casting lovely green shadows in every direction.

Though Mount Abang is less well-known among tourists, its solitude and pristine surroundings away from busy cities make it even more alluring. The best time to visit Mount Abang is during the dry months.

You can quickly locate the trailhead for the Mount Abang walk by using Google Maps. You will just need to make a brief drive of a few minutes to get to the trailhead from the relatively new Mount Abang Trekking Office. At the trailhead, there is plenty of space for parking your car or scooter; however, the approach road can be somewhat rough.

The first hour or so of the Mount Abang hike can be spent enjoying the stroll and the scenery. The hike starts out as a moderate ascent. You will eventually reach the first of two temples that are situated along the ascent pathway. The walk to the second temple slightly increases the bar and gets harder, so here is a perfect place to pause and catch your breath.

A small shrine and a few signs indicating the name and height of the climb's peak may be found there; they make for fantastic photo ops. If the skies are clear, you will be able to see Mount Batur, which dominates the east side of the caldera, just below you and just across the lake. Trekking will be harder than hiking Mount Batur, but this is one of the most beautiful places in Bali and is worth exploring. 

But if you prefer an easy trek on your vacation, then Mt. Batur is the best choice. The sunrise from both of these locations will be magical and magnificent. 

• Rope: A good length of rope will save you a lot of time and aggravation if you are trekking with a small group of people. While you try to figure out your way through several areas, slippery clay emerges as the main antagonist. Send the rope back down after having your greatest trekker handle the work!
• Fresh Clothes: Face it in brand-new clothes. You're going to smear it up. Just in case, include a new set.
• Walking Stick: If you don't already have one, browse around the parking lot. A walking stick will come in very handy. 
• Hiking Shoes: The majority of hikers who take their hiking seriously already own hiking boots or shoes, but on this trek, because of the slick terrain, the extra traction and toughness can prevent a lot of annoyance and even damage.
