I’m sure each of you would have stared longingly at the Instagrammers who live the ‘highlife’ travelling. Posting a picture of a coffee mug snuggled up between blankets of a luxury suite has somehow become a thing now. So is posing in a bikini near an infinity pool after a day of spa. So is there a list you should follow for all the above? Only the best of all. Here are the best 7-star hotels in the world you should check out to burn some money and become Instagram famous!

List of ultra-luxury 7-star hotels from around the world:

1. Burj Al Arab (United Arab Emirates):

This architectural wonder located off the Jumeirah beach is no stranger to the eye. The suites in this hotel are some of the finest in the world. The most special one being the royal two-bedroom suite which costs $27000 per night! Don’t be alarmed there yet. When a suite has a private spa, pools, cinema rooms, library and elevator it isn’t any mean sum. Add gold crockery, gold plated bar cabinets and gold-dusted macchiatos to the lot and you get the formula to grandeur. It doesn’t end there…there are Rolls Royce Chauffeurs, at least half a dozen butlers, whirlpool baths, designer toiletries and even 24-carat gold plated i-pads. The Arabs and their obsession with gold! We’ll never get it.

Hotel location: 1 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd – Dubai – United Arab Emirates

Nearby tourist attractions:

  • Dubai Lake
  • Burj Khalifa observation deck

2. The Mark Hotel (New York City):

Check into perfection

This is where your favourite Hollywood actors go to chill for the weekend or get ready for the MET Gala. There’s a pretty good chance you’ll run into Beyonce or Gigi Hadid. Look at the above picture. Do you get a ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ vibe? There’s just the right amount of coquettish decor and roses in the backdrop right?

The hotel brims with pride as a landmark on Madison Avenue, New York’s fashion centre. They’re always fully equipped with Lawnside picnics, in-house hairdressers, elaborate florists and even pet spas. Even the laziest pictures that are taken here look like Vogue’s front page.

Enjoy a private beach, gold-infused desserts and a chat with the royal members of the world for just $980. No wonder the people of Dubai are always living the riding-off-into-the-sunset life and posting for our envy.

4. Hôtel Plaza Athénée (Paris):

Who would say no to the framework of eating macaroons in a cloud-like bed and looking out the window to find the Eiffel Tower inching closer? I definitely wouldn’t mind that scene. Especially if this culinary-visual treat is paired with a several Michelin starred cook! The Parisien vibes of this hotel are clearly top-notch. There’s a Dior spa. A Dior spa! The glamorous jazz nights delight the soul too. 7-star hotels don’t come in a better size.

Waking up to a cathedral-like roof, golden rails all around you and an ornate layout of breakfast put you in the greatest of spirits. Secret over-the-roof spots are scattered throughout the area where you watch the sun go out with a glorious piece of pizza in your hand. As for luxury, this hotel is located inside the grand Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II mall that dates back to 1877. So much for feeling like a royal teenager in the 19th century!

Fiji, a group of islands, houses a tiny island in the name of Lacaula. This islet has been turned into a luxury resort property. In other words, this land of 12 sq. km is where the real party is at. With silver springs that pop-up here and there, rocky mountains and a myriad of untouched landscapes, it is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. There’s a lagoon-like pool lined with thatched huts to dry off at. Fijian therapies and spas are all sitting awaiting you. Do not miss out on this exotic land of fantasy! If you get lucky, you’ll get a Delana Hilltop Estate residence at $55,000 per night.
