For those of you scouting for new desserts to impress your family with or just conjure up a delicious treat for yourself as you catch up on your favourite tv show, we’ve got the top trending easy dessert recipes from around the world right here!
1. Mango Mousse for the Mango Lovers
It’s a magical time of the year! Mangoes are here! Take your mango love to the next level with this incredible mousse recipe.
All you need is:
2 well-ripened mangoes
400 ml heavy whipping cream
100 g condensed milk
Steps to follow:
Take a large bowl, pour in the cold heavy cream, and whip until you get medium peaks. You can whip the cream a little bit more if you rather enjoy a more solid texture. Keep aside 6 tablespoons of the whipped cream for final decoration.
Cut mangoes into slices and mix them in a blender. Add the mango puree into the whipped cream and fold until fully incorporated. Your mousse is now ready.
Pour the mousse into a short glass and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Take the cold mousse and top it with a tablespoon of the whipped cream. Enjoy!
2. Gooey Chocolate Decadence
There’s nothing like gooey chocolate topped with crunchy nuts; the texture and flavour combined is a complete bombshell!
All you need is:
510 g milk chocolate
400 g condensed milk
120 g roughly chopped walnuts (or any nuts you may prefer)
Steps to follow:
Add the chocolate and condensed milk into a missing bowl and heat it in a microwave at 15-second increments.
When the chocolate is fully melted, add in the chopped nuts and mix well.
Pour the mixture on a flat tray lined with baking paper and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Take the tray out, cut into squares, and serve!
3. Creme Caramel for the Soul
Turn on a melody and French up your dinner with this delicate caramel pudding recipe. The perfect end to a romantic dinner night at home. Now don’t be alarmed by these numerous steps, the prep time is just 10 minutes!
All you need is:
85 g sugar
350 ml whole milk
2 large eggs
(Optional – Vanilla extract or lemon zest for fragrance)
Steps to follow:
Heat 30 grams of sugar along with 2 tbsp of water in a wide non-stick pan on low flame. Do not stir the sugar and swirl the pan slightly to even out the liquid.
Take a tbsp of the transparent sugar liquid as it cooks and spread it evenly on the bottom of a flat round container.
Turn off the heat as the mixture turns golden brown and caramelizes. Transfer the caramel into another container and set aside.
Boil and reduce the whole milk to 250 ml.
Break two eggs into a mixing bowl, add 40 grams of sugar, and start whisking. Add the lukewarm boiled milk into the mixture and whisk until sugar is fully dissolved.
Pour the mixture into the sugar-coated flat round container.
Fill a flat bottom pot with 2 inches of water, place a metal coaster stand at the bottom, and place the pudding bowl on top of the coaster. Let it steam for 20-25 minutes.
Once it’s done, take the pudding out, let it cool down, and then flip the bowl onto a plate.
Top the pudding with the caramel syrup and serve! Voila!
4. Pack a Punch with Peanut Butter
The slight saltiness of peanut butter along with the sweetness of the rich chocolates is sure to create fireworks in your mouth!
All you need is:
120 g peanut butter
180 g chocolate
2 tbsp powdered sugar
Steps to follow:
Prepare a cupcake pan with 6 paper moulds.
Mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until fully incorporated.
Melt the chocolate and spread 2 teaspoons of the melted chocolate onto the paper moulds.
Top the chocolate with 2 teaspoons of the peanut butter mixture and cover the peanut butter with melted chocolate again.
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours until chocolate is hardened. Take out and dig in!
5. Frozen Yogurt, Done Right
Here’s a frozen yogurt that’s true to its name. And who doesn’t love a nice way to elevate the good ol’ Oreo!
All you need is:
40 pieces of Oreo cookies
115 g butter
850 g thick yogurt
Steps to follow:
Place the cookies into a plastic bag and crush them into small size chunks. Transfer into a bowl and set aside.
Melt the butter and pour it into the crushed cookies.
Spread the cookies onto a flat pan and freeze it for 30 minutes.
Take out the cookies and spread a 2-inch layer of thick yogurt over them.
Rough crush Oreo cookies into medium size chunks and sprinkle it over the yogurt layer.
Freeze the tray again for 2-3 hours until solid.
Take out the tray and roughly break the product into large barks. Bite into a zingy dessert!
