Qatar offers free visa to citizens of 80 countries including India

Isolated by its neighbors in a diplomatic crisis, Qatar has now announced visa-free entry to citizens of 80 countries including India, this Wednesday. Qatar visa for Indians now comes easy!

The move comes in a way to strengthen the air transport and tourism industry in Qatar.

With 80 nationalities eligible for a free visa waiver upon arrival, Qatar is now the most open country in the region and we are delighted to invite visitors to discover our renowned hospitality, cultural heritage and natural treasures.

Visitors of the 80 countries listed, now have to present only their passport on arrival (which should at least be valid for a period of 6 months) and they are free to explore Qatar. Further, the validity of this waiver varies depending on the nationality of the visitor.

For 33 countries, the waiver has a validity of 180 days right from the date of issuance and its holder is entitled up to 90 days stay in Qatar (single trip or on multiple trips), for the remaining 47 countries, the waiver is valid for 30 days right from the date of issuance and its holder is entitled up to 30 days stay in Qatar (single trip or on multiple trips).
