Vivin and his wife, Arthika went on their honeymoon trip to Indonesia this November and here is how they perfected it.

Day 1

We arrived at the Ngurah Rai International Airport and were transferred to our hotel in Kuta – Kanishka Villas.

The contemporary villa-style accommodation is a great option for travellers looking for something upscale. Set in the heart of Seminyak, Kanishka Villas is just a 15-min ride away from the airport. And, the ideal location made it easier for us to get around.

Complete with a four-poster king bed, a 42-inch flat screen tv, refrigerator, air conditioner, jacuzzi, rain shower, DVD player, and a gazebo, ours was a spacious Jacuzzi bedroom suite.

Day 2

Thanks to our exclusive private tour of Kuta, we were occupied for the entire day. Our private tour was inclusive of,

Batuan Temple – Decorated in colourful ornaments and sandstone bas motifs, the Batuan Temple is the focal point of traditional Balinese art and paintings. The majestic interiors are well-preserved and taking a tour of the temple was just breathtaking.

Tegenungan WaterfallWhat can we say about Tegenungan Waterfall. It is one of our favourites during our trip. While the walk to the waterfall is a bit strenuous, it is absolutely worth it. And, there are plenty of photo opportunities all around.

Monkey Forest – This is where we made friends with the Balinese long-tailed Monkies. And, there were lots of them. Not just that. Monkey Forest was all about nature with different species of trees and plants. There is abundant fresh air amidst the quarters and the ideal time to visit the forest is in the morning.

Tanah Lot Temple – A trip to Bali is incomplete without visiting the iconic Tanah Lot Temple. This is something that we were sure about right when we started planning the trip. And, we weren’t disappointed even one bit. We were instantly blown away by this beauty of a site and from the start till the end, the experience was just surreal.

Ubud Palace – We learnt that the Ubud Palace was once the official residence of the Royal Family of Ubud and can see why. The historical complex of Ubud Palace was huge and it reflects the traditional Balinese architecture. It was under renovation when we visited and the courtyard is a great place to witness the cultural dances and events.

Saraswati Temple – In close quarters to the Ubud Palace is the Balinese temple of Saraswati. Shimmering with lotus pond on all sides, the temple is bliss to walk around. Also, to click photographs of. And, you don’t even need to wear a sarong. That’s the most amazing part.

Day 3

Bali Safari and Marine Park – While we were not much of a wildlife fan, it was highly recommended that we try out this activity and we were really glad that we got to try this one. Our experience started with a guided trail around the park. When this got over, we boarded our caged tram and set out into the wilderness. During the trip, we fed giraffes, zebras, and elephants. We were also greeted by lions, tigers, macaws, and snakes. The experience ended with exciting fire dance and a sumptuous barbecue buffet.

Day 4

We arrived at Nusa Dua and were shifted to our accommodation.

Tanadewa Luxury Villa & Spa – Everything about our villa spelt modernity. We had a king size bed, a spacious en-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi, and a private pool with a garden view. The breakfast was icing on the cake.

A chauffeur cum guide picked us up from our hotel in the morning and we went on a private tour to the South Bali trail.

Nusa Dua beach – This is one of the best beaches in Bali. The water here was crystal clear with white sands. And, it is a great place to visit in the morning. Haaa, what a lovely way to begin the day!

GWK Culture Park – The place is a dedication to Hindu God Vishnu. And his big status is a testimony. We can easily ogle at it forever! The reason that we included this as a part of our tour is that we love getting to know new cultural experiences and a trip to GWK Culture Park proved to be perfect.

Uluwatu Sunset – Sunset at Uluwatu is the quintessential romantic thing to do and ours was extra special. The temple, the sound of the waves, and the stunning views added to the overall beauty of the place and we still relive the wonderful moments in our head.

Kecak Dance Performance – The Balinese cultural dance is a huge attraction and we were waiting to catch that in real. The excitement spiked when we were just moments away from the dance. And, the performance just blew us away!

Day 5

It’s time for adventure! From Parasailing to Banana boat ride to Seawalker experience, we had the most fun. It can’t be just expressed in words.

Day 6 & 7

We spent the last two days soaking in the beauty of Bali and reliving the wonderful times that we collected throughout our trip. Until next time!
