The Al Ain Zoo

Al Ain Zoo is a great family-friendly attraction to visit. It stands as a beautiful and safe home to more than 400 animals of different kinds including Arabian oryx, rhinos, hippos, tigers, lions and many more. Visit the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Center

One of the must-do things in Al Ain Zoo is visiting the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Center. It is a great place if you really want to know more about the country you are in and fall in love with it even more and see exhibits on how UAE transformed into what it is now. It also stands as home to five galleries which are the Sheikh Zayed Tribute Hall, People of the Desert, Looking into the Future, Abu Dhabi Desert over Time and Abu Dhabi’s Living World.

Witness the wildlife

Wow! Wildlife at its best. You can find here many different and rare species from mammals to reptiles and birds. You can find mammals like Barbary sheep, gazelles, jaguar and cheetah, the Arabian leopard, African white lion, springbok, white rhino, birds like flamingos, eagles, cockatoos and the flightless emu and reptiles like spot turtles and tortoises.

Learn Prey Hunting skills

Interested in seeing how big birds catch their prey? Then, you have one great place here. Here, you will be able to witness how tactically birds like Falcons, Eagles and Vultures catch their prey.

Take your kids to the children’s zoo

Taking your kids with you? Then head out to this zoo where your kids can get to interact with the animals and even go for a horse or camel ride.

Entertainer ticket: 30 AED for adults and 10 AED for children under 3-12 years

Explorer ticket (Zoo with SZDLC access): 60 AED for adults and 40 AED for children under 3-12 years

Safari ticket (Zoo with safari access): 200 AED for adults and children under 3-12 years in a group truck. 1000 AED for private SUV for 6 pax.

Safari ticket (Zoo with SZDLC and Safari access): 230 AED for adults and children under 3-12 years in a group truck. You can take a private SUV for 1150 AED for 6 pax.

Annual Pass: 235 AED for one person and 95 AED per extra person.

Family Annual Pass: 661 AED (2 adults and 3 children) and 95 AED per extra person.

  • Everyday – 9 AM to 8 PM

Tips

  • Have sources of rehydration.
