3. Gorsam Chorten

Located roughly about 90 kilometres away from Tawang centre is one of the largest stupas. Founded by Monpa monk, Gorsam Chorten is a Buddha temple constructed in the early 12th century. Hidden in the Zemithang village is not just a temple but an eternal beauty. The base of the temple is roughly 185 feet and 93 feet in height. Visit here to experience tranquillity and peace. However, during winters, the lake is closed due to heavy snowfalls.

5. Shonga-Tser Lake

Fondly known as Madhuri Lake, is the Shonga Tser Lake. This lake came into existence due to an earthquake that occurred back in 1971.
