Table Mountain Aerial Cableway

Since its installation in 1929, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway has obtained interests of a lot of tourist from across the world. The cable car offers a 360-degree view by using a rotating floor, both up and down the mountain. The ride lasts for about 5-10 minutes only. The astounding view of the Cape Town from the mountain top will leave you speechless.

Shops

There are four retail shops here. They have a fine collection of goods, from affordable ones to luxury items. 

1. Shop at the Top

This is the main store and is located near Table Mountain Cafe. This shop has a great variety of gift items. Make sure you purchase one in memory of your visit here. This shop is open from the time the first visitor comes until the last visitor leaves. 

2. Little Shop at the Top

This Shop is located near the Upper Cable Station; just to your left when you get out of the cable car. This shop is also open from the time the first visitor comes until the last visitor leaves. 

3. Exit Shop

This shop is situated near the Lower Cable Station. This is solely for the purpose of last-minute purchases. This shop opens quite late that other shops and closes once the last visitor leaves.

4. Visitor Centre

The Visitor Centre is located near the Lower Station Kiosk and it not just provides visitors with information but also has an option to shop. This Centre will be open until the last person leaves.

Table Mountain Cafe

Relax and enjoy snacks, ice cream or a full meal with dishes inspired by South African Cuisine. The cafe opens at 8:00 am and closes 30 minutes before the last car down. However, the kitchen closes by 4:00 pm. They are also committed to remaining as green as possible and so they have taken a lot of measures to conserve their environment. 

Wi-Fi Lounge

The wi-fi lounge opens right from the first car towards the mountain and closes 15 min before the last car down. If your mobile or any other gadget is out of charge, this is the best place to recharge it. Also, add some fuel to yourself by relaxing in the lounge enjoying the views along with some delicious snacks and hot/cold beverages.
