It is one of the largest Buddha sculptures in China, situated in the mountain of Longshan. The monument has an 88-meter height, built entirely of bronze, weighing 700 tonnes. This tourist spot covers a 74-acre area and includes many Buddhist sites. It is one amongst the tallest statues in the world.
Great Buddha of Thailand, Thailand, 92 meter
Thailand’s Big Buddha is the country’s tallest monument, standing 92 meters wide. Construction of this statue began in 1990 and ended in 2008. The whole figure is made of cement and is coated in golden colour. Also, this giant statue of the Buddha was built on the principles of Theravada Buddhism. It is one of the tallest statues in Thailand.

Peter the Great statue, Russia, 96 meter
This statue was installed in memory of 43 years of Russian emperor Peter I, who ruled the land. The 98 meters high Peter the Great statue facing Moskva River in the city of Moscow. Georgian artist Zurab Tsereteli crafted the statue using 600 tons of stainless steel and Bronze. Also, Peter weighs 100 tons with the giant statue and it was revealed in 1997.
Sendai Daikannon, Japan, 100 meter
Sendai Daikannan is a 100-metre-high statue in Sendai, Japan. The statue represents Bodhisattva, a Japanese Buddhist. Sendai Daikannon keeps in her right hand a diamond to fulfil wishes, and in her left hand a water flask to spill the water of knowledge. Also, tourist can reach the top of the statue via the elevators and view the entire city. That’s cool, huh?

Rodina Mat, Ukraine 102 meters
The Rodina Mat monument, installed in Kyiv, is based on a sign created to rally the Soviet people during the next World War. The stainless steel statue was built in 1981 and atop a museum building with a total frame measuring 102 m 335 ft and weighing 560 tons, is 62 meters 203 foot wide.
Emperors Yan and Huang, China, 106 meter
These statues are created in commemoration of the Chinese emperor’s Yan and Huang. Construction of such sculptures started in 1987 and was finished after more than 20 years. Such monuments, found in Henan province of China, have a height of 106 metres. Government has invested $22.5 million to erect such sculptures. The eyes of these sculptures are 3 meters wide and the nose is 6 meters high.
Guanyin of the Sanya, China, 108 Meter
Guan Yin’s bust, Buddhist Goddess of Compassion, located in China’s Hainan province. This monument has a height of 108 meters and has been the world’s fourth-tallest monument. In addition, this figure has three separate faces to reflect Goddess blessing in the universe. The first face is towards the inland and two other sides are against the shore. It took nearly 6 years for this giant statue to complete.
Ushiku Daibutsu, Japan 110 meter
Ushiku Daibutsu was meant for ‘Great Buddha in Ushiku’ in the Japanese city of Ushiku. The monument measures 110 meters long with a foundation of 10 meters wide. Also, this Buddha statue was made entirely from Bronze. Within the statue there are four separate floors, tourists may hit the peak using the elevator. Visitors will hear beautiful music on the first floor, the 2nd floor is completely devoted to scriptural studies, and the third stage lined with 30000 Buddha statues. That’s awesome, huh? Visitors will see the magnificent gardens inside the statue’s setting from the top floor.
Laykyun Setkyar, Myanmar, 116 meter
The world’s third tallest statue is 116 meters high, situated in Monywa, Myanmar. Laykyun Setkyar ‘s building started in 1996 and was finished in 2008. Actually, the statue stands on a throne of 13.5 metres. Also, within the statue, there is also an elevator which helps visitors to reach the top to enjoy the panoramic view of the city. Visitors can also see Buddha lying 89 meters alongside the statue of Laykyun Setkyar.

Spring Temple Buddha, China, 153 meter
This is the world’s second tallest monument, 153 meters high, situated in Henan, China. The design of this monument started in 1997 and was finished in 2008. Interestingly, the statue consists of 1100 pieces of the copper cast and stands on a tall lotus. Isn’t that amazing? It is, huh? The tallest statue’s name derives from a hot spring found near the location. It was projected to cost $55 million to construct the Buddha Spring Temple.
Statue of Unity, India, 182 meter
The world’s tallest monument, the Peace pillar, stands for India’s Iron Hero, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It will take around four Liberty Sculptures organized in top-to-bottom format only to touch the height of the Iron Man.
