Once you reach Rajasthan, you can hire a private taxi to reach Jaisalmer. Check in to your designated hotel at Jaisalmer.

Firstly, visit the Jaisalmer War Museum. It was constructed by the Desert Corps of the Indian Army. This War Museum has a high patriotic sense attached to it. This is because the exhibits in this museum include vehicles and equipment during the period of 1965-1971. A Hunter Aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force is displayed here, which is truly an engineering marvel. This museum is a must-visit as it showcases the significance of the Indian Army, and also the sacrifices they have made to keep our nation safe.

Subsequently, you can visit the all-important and entertaining Sand Dunes. One of the key aspects of a Jaisalmer tour are Sand Dunes. Jaisalmer Fort is one of the top-rated attractions in the state of Rajasthan. Jaisalmer Fort is a massive fort structure with paramount historical significance. It is widely believed that it is one of the last few “living forts” in the world, which makes it truly a wonderful place to visit. Almost 25% of the Jaisalmer population lives inside the fort. This fort was built in 1156 AD and is the second oldest fort in Rajasthan.

This was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2013. This fort was built by Rawal Jaisal, who was a Bhati Rajput. For a major chunk of the period, the whole city of Jaisalmer was about the Jaisalmer Fort. Even though it is not of significance anymore, the region still garners high revenue through tourism.

Havelis are a significant part of Rajasthan history. And Patwaon ki Haveli is one of the most significant Havelis in Rajasthan. And it is not just significant, but also unique.
