2. Dubrovnik Festival – Dubrovnik announces summer

When: July 10 – Aug 25

Where: Dubrovnik

The Dubrovnik festival is how Croatia celebrates summer. With programs that extend over a month, the annual festival has been a tradition since 1950. More than 70 open-air venues are put up across the city of Dubrovnik, highlighting its Renaissance architecture. 3. International Folklore festival – At its cultural best

5. Days of Diocletian’ festival – History in Togas

The history town of Split relives its past with its streets becoming a Roman legion of sorts with the ‘Days of Diocletian’ festival. People dressed up as Roman soldiers in togas play football and entertain masses with its gladiator flights.
