The “Main Terminal” and the “Satellite” Terminals are the two terminals of Athens International Airport. A subterranean connection connects the two terminals.

There are three floors to the Main Terminal. The eating room is in one, while the arrivals and departures are in the other two. Furthermore, the Main Terminal is divided into two halls. Non-Schengen and non-European flights are handled in Hall A, while domestic services and flights from Schengen nations are handled in Hall B. The Satellite Terminal, on the other hand, has two floors, one for arrivals and one for departures.

As of 2020, Athens International is the 19th busiest airport in Europe and one of the largest in the Balkans. It is also a member of the Airports Council International’s Group 1 (over 25 million passengers).

About Thessaloniki Airport and Terminals

Thessaloniki is the second-largest city in Greece. The terminal of the airport has three levels. Only arrivals are served on the bottom level, which is separated into two sections: international/extra-Schengen and domestic/intra-Schengen arrivals. The second-floor houses departures as well as a shopping mall. There are 34 check-in desks, waiting spaces, bars, boutiques, and the offices of numerous airlines on this floor. Two restaurants and many bars with views of the runways are located on the third floor. Two passenger lounges are available. An additional terminal has opened in 2021.
