New Bedford Village is an open-air, interactive history. Museum tourists will go back in time to the early days when things were easier and it was hard work to survive. Formerly host to a historic excavation site, this village gradually became the revived museum with about 40 houses. The National Museum of the American Coverlet

American Coverlet National Museum is devoted to displaying the coverlet ‘s past and elegance as an art medium. While quilts were crafted from bits of fabric that were stitched together, coverlets were created in one piece on a loom. This was then used for decoration, security, and warmth as the top-most cover on a pillow. Current visitors can have a look at the museum’s 500 coverlets currently on display. Briar Valley Vineyard and Winery

The Briar Valley Vineyard is located at 1,200 feet above sea level, offering the ideal setting for their favourite grapes: the grapes from the vinifera. Jean Bonnet Tavern is located in a pre-Revolution structure, open seven days a week and dated back to around 1762. The house was originally a French Fort and Trade Post.
