With all the mouth watering food programs like Master Chef and the numerous shows on TLC making our lunch / dinner time more enjoyable, the foodgasms hit us more tremendously when a wide scrumptious spread is laid out in the fests around the world. Mmmh, all that exotic food!

1. Naples Pizza Fest- Italy

The whole beauty about this dish is – its called a ‘Pizza’ in any language. The first week of every September should have you packing your bags to the birthplace of pizzas and sample / learn to make the perfect dough and traditional tomato sauce for it. This masterclass, teaches you to make the perfect pie and to spin the dough above your head from the local experts.

One of the highlights of the event is the World Pizza Maker Championship, which takes place during the first two days of the festival. Chef’s from all over the world, travel to Naples to compete with the city’s most highly skillful pizza makers and have their pie’s judged as the Best Pizzaiolo  in the world. 2. Melbourne Food and Wine Festival – Australia

This hallmark event at Victoria, gathers some of the famous culinary stars around the world to celebrate this gastronomic fest and showcase some of their best on a plate. Engage in a Master Class, where you have a celebrity chef like Matt Preston or Pierre Koffmann spill out a recipe to one of their signature dishes.

This celebration of good food, happens during the 1st week of March every year. Not to mention, you get the opportunity to taste every cuisine in the world – ranging from the barbecues from the west to the eastern sushi’s.

3. World Gourmet Summit – Singapore

This annual culinary event held during April every year, is to showcase and promote local chefs while featuring Michelin-starred chefs and vintners from around the world. On winning gong’s such as the Grand Pinnacle Silver Award at the IFEA, the purpose is to also host charity dinners which collects more than $300,000 every year.

The culinary masterclasses will have the masterchefs, demonstrate the preparation of two to three of their signature dishes, followed by the sampling of these dishes by attendees of the event.

4. Cayman Cookout – Caribbean

Ah the ultimate pilgrimage to the mother of food festivals, happens at the Grand Cayman Islands and calls out the luxurious foodies and uber level celebrated master chefs around the world. And i mean people like Éric Ripert, José Andrés, Anthony Bourdain and Tom Colicchio will have their expensive shows/spreads for us to sample.

5. St. Moritz Gourmet Festival – Switzerland

One of the most important gastronomic festivals in Switzerland is held in St.Moritz. This event celebrates the presence of important international master chefs for 5 days (25th – 29th Jan) and attracts thousands of foodies and critics from around the world.

This year theme has been entirely dedicated to Japanese cuisine and its wide culinary variety and their master chefs showcasing their rich recipes.
