This place is much beyond just the water sports. Though it is said that the ideal duration for any exciting and fun-packed Maldives trip is 5 days which is true, your week-long vacation in the Maldives can be soul-soothing. 14 days might seem quite long but once you are there, two weeks will just pass like a blink of the eye and trust me, it’s the perfect time for some sweet nothings in such a wonderland. 2 Weeks Itinerary to the Maldives

When it comes to staying in the Maldives for two weeks, the most important thing is to plan your stay on 2 different islands. In case you are looking for a complete Maldives package in a single resort, it is fine. However, if your idea is to explore and enjoy all the exciting things that the Maldives has to offer, then choosing different islands is the best option. Though the day plans are going to differ as per your preferences and the type of vacation, here is a small idea how two weeks in the Maldives look like.

Days in week 1

Day 1 – Arrival in the Maldives

Once you land at Velana International Airport, head out to the arrival hall to find your resort’s counter. Show your accommodation vouchers to them and board your transfers to the resort. Since this is your first day in the Maldives, take good rest and enjoy the day in your super-cool villa.

Day 2 – Beach day and cruising

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise, sipping a cup of coffee and silhouette pictures, of course. This day is completely to enjoy your Maldives beach times and take any water activity like diving and swimming. End the day on a beautiful note by taking a sunset cruise or sunset fishing.

Day 3 – Sightseeing the island

Get enough help from your new friends at the resort about the sightseeing options in the Maldives and the best things to do on a leisure day. Most resorts will also help you with transfer arrangements at an additional cost.

Day 4 – Taking one of the Maldives’ best spas

The most relaxing thing to do on a Maldives vacation is to take a spa and trust me, the Maldives has the best options. There are many ayurvedic massages and Thai spas available in almost all resorts. Be ready for the pampering!

Day 5 – Water sports day

Enjoy a whole day in the waters surfing or snorkeling. Maldives’ water sports are a must-try. After a tiring yet exciting day, grab some snacks at the resorts’ restaurants and bars for a complete evening.

Day 6 – Private dinner and photoshoot

If you have any private dinners like candlelit dinners or any additional experiences planned, plan it on Day 6 which will end your stay at the first resort in a romantic way. Also plan a photo shoot in the Maldives for sure and feed your Instagram with some ‘travel goals’ pictures.

Day 7 – Departure to the second island

On Day 7 of Maldives’ 2 weeks itinerary, you will be leaving for another exciting stay either by an airport transfer or an internal transfer. Make sure you bid goodbye to all your friends until next time.

Day 8 – Arrival at the second resort

Once you arrive, clear all the check-in procedures, have your lunch, and take a rest. The first day at any resort will be just to explore the options at the resort and plan the other days accordingly.

Day 9 – Watching sunsets

Views of the sunrise and sunset are beautiful beyond comparison in the Maldives. Spend some time getting yourself lost in the beauty of the sky changing its colors.

Day 10 – Water sports day

Missed doing any water sports at the first resort? Not to worry as you still have time to cover the most exciting water activities here as well.

Day 11 – Leisure day and just enjoy the Maldives times in the game areas

If you have covered all your plans, just head out to the game areas or any facility in the resort. If you would love to have some time to yourself, take this day to stay in your villa and just chill.

Day 12 – Additional experiences

Any additional experiences in the Maldives like cooking classes or taking a spa, you can keep it to this day after 2 days of only sports.

Day 13 – Leisure day and photoshoot

This is a leisure day just for the photographs. Any special dining in the resort that you would like to take, you can plan it on Day 13 of Maldives’ 2 weeks itinerary.

Day 14 – Departure from the Maldives

This is going to be tough. Pack your bags back home with a lot of good memories to cherish all your life. 2 weeks long vacation didn’t really feel like 2 weeks, right? That’s something special about staying in a place like the Maldives.

Things to know before planning a Maldives vacation for 2 weeks

  • If you want to keep all the days exciting, then choose only one activity each day to have fun and be relaxed at the same time.
  • Explore the local islands of Maldives and take many day trips during the stay.
  • Two resorts cannot be booked as a single package with them. When two islands are booked for a trip, you cannot go directly from one resort to the other. The Maldives packages will have only airport transfers included and any internal transfers will be at an additional cost. In such cases, you can take an airport transfer from the first resort and take another transfer from the airport to the next resort.

If people can enjoy taking a 4-day or 5-day trip to the Maldives, then imagine how amazing it would be to stay in this paradise for weeks. You can make the most out of Maldives!
