Han Jiang Ancestral Temple

Run by the Penang Teochew Association, this has the Unesco Asia-Pacific Heritage Award. This is the heart piece of the Teochew community, this was also funded by the local Teochew community to undertake the Han Jiang Ancestral Temple. The architecture of this temple is mainly imposed on Chinese style architecture. You may not see many great architectures in the front, but inside the temple is very heavily decorated and you will literally fall in love with it. Mengkuang Dam

This is the only dam that is found in the Wellessly province. This is most famous for its very scenic setting and the jogging tracks. Interestingly, you will find a huge number of visitors here on a daily basis. With 23.6 billion litres of water, this is the largest dam in the city of Penang. This spot is most famous as it hosts for the International Dragon boat festival. This festival is much more elevated by its amazing spectators.
