Your Maafushi trip would be incomplete if you don’t engage in an underwater dive. If you are an experienced, a beginner, or an intermediate diver, you can register yourself at one of the many diving schools around Maafushi. You will be accompanied by trained divers on your real dive adventure. When you are underwater, you can expect to find a variety of species like reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, giant tunas, manta rays, and other smaller reef fishes. Kuda Giri Wreck (large cargo boat covered by hard and soft corals), the Cocoa Corner (picturesque underwater landscape full of caves), and Guraidhoo Corner (great drift diving) are some interesting sites you can go to.

One marvelous thing you will encounter here is local carpenters making traditional dhoni boats of various sizes. As you can see in the picture, this island houses some of the best and harmonious waves amongst the Maldivian islands. Also, feel the energy rushing up against you as you go surfing through the waves.

On day 5 of your 10 days in the Maldives holiday, grab a few snorkeling gears to snorkel around the magnificent coral gardens. If you are not up for snorkelling, you may very well take a stroll around the small island. Also, go to the island’s only mosque and school, Masjid Al Athar and Vaavu Atoll School, respectively. However, you won’t see much crowd in Fulidhoo as it does not get many tourists. Nevertheless, surely engage in the cultural dances taking place at night. There are only two cafes on this island – Cafe De Orzo and Dream Hut Fulidhoo, so save your seats beforehand.
