Immerse yourself in the royal city located in the northwestern side of Rajasthan in the Thar Desert. The reason why Jodhpur is called the sun city is that it’s hot throughout the year and there’s never a day without the sun shining so bright, and its also known as the blue city as most of the attractions and houses here are painted shade of blue. This tour will take you around the city in 4 days, where you will be visiting the Golden City that is located right in the heart of Thar Desert. Day-wise Itinerary:

Day 1 – Arrival- Welcome to the beautiful city of Jodhpur
Day 2 – Head to Jaisalmer
Day 3 – A day of fun with dunes of the Thar
Day 4 – Departure

Day 1 – Arrival- Welcome to the beautiful city of Jodhpur

You could get here either by flight or train and once you reach, take the pre-booked transfer or a Cab and head to your hotel. Both the airport and the railway station are more or less 20 minutes away from the city. Choose your hotel wisely, few of the most recommended and ideal location to stay in would be in and around the old city: Near Sardar Market, near Stepwell and Navchokiya. Once you reach the designated hotel, just settle in there. Later proceed for sightseeing, the top places you can cover on the 1st day out of your 4 days around Jodhpur are the Mehrangarh Fort and Umaid Bhawan Palace. The Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest and is located 400 ft. above the city of Jodhpur, and then visit the residence of the former Jodhpur royal family that has 347 rooms and a museum.

Day 2 – Head to Jaisalmer

This day is going to be super exciting as you would be visiting the Golden City of Jaisalmer, so wake up and have a healthy breakfast and check out. You will be taking a transfer to Jaislamer and then checking into a hotel of your choice there. Check-in and then spend the day at leisure, if you’re interred for a small spin around and covering a couple of things you can consider visiting: Salim Shah Ki Haveli, Patwon Ki Haveli, and Nat Mal Ki Haveli as well. Get back home and spend quality time with your travel companions and then get enough rest for the 3rd day of your 4 days around Jodhpur.

Day 3 – A day of fun with dunes of the Thar

It’s no secret that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so kick start your day with a healthy meal and then proceed to visit the iconic masterpiece- the Golden Fort, which is commonly known as Sonar Quila. It is the second oldest fort in Rajasthan and was brought to life by Rajput Rawal. History says that it’s called Sonar Quila because the yellow sandstone walls of this fort reflect the exterior to shades of honey-gold when the sunsets. Once you are done marvelling at this beauty, proceed further to the ‘grand garden’ – more commonly known as Barabagh which is situated about six kilometres north of Jaisalmer.

One of the most interesting things you will come across in 4 days around Jodhpur is your visit to the abandoned village called Kuldhara which is located 17km west of Jaisalmer. It was once known to be a very prosperous village that was home to the Paliwal Brahmins back then. Recently during the early 19th century is when it was abandoned due to mysterious reasons. Spooky isn’t it? Be sure to visit this site, the remains are well-preserved both in the north and the south sides.

Finally, you will end the day with the most exciting part. *Drumroll*- Time for some fun with dunes of Thar. head out to the desert and explore this never-ending beauty during the sunset and enjoy a camel ride. Day 4 – Departure
