2. Gurney Paragon

Gurney Paragon, a 700,000 sqft complex, is an interesting mall, that has been built around St. Joseph’s Novitiate. This  1925 chapel that has been beautifully restored and incorporated into the mall’s open-plan layout design. This is the first shopping mall integrated with a heritage building. 

The Gurney Paragon is only a 4-minute walk from the Gurney Plaza. Gurney Paragon houses more than 40 fashion boutiques and 30 eateries, such as Starbucks, T.G.I. Friday’s, Charles & Keith, Padini, H&M and Victoria’s Secret.

3. Queensbay Mall

The Queensbay Mall is located in Bayan Lepas and is one of the largest malls in Penang and it also one of the largest shopping malls in Malaysia. This five-storey building has over 400 retail shops, spanning an area of 2,500,000 sq ft. This is definitely an ideal place for bibliomaniacs and fashionistas. This mall houses the famous book stores like Borders, MPH and Popular and stores of popular fashion names such as Gap, British India, Timberland, Guess, Giordano,  Levi’s and Body Glove.

4. Straits Quay

This mall-cum-marina is situated in Seri Tanjung Pinang, a newly developed township that sits in the suburbs of Tanjung Tokong.  Aiming to top the must-visit places in Malaysia, The Straits Quay mall offers many things to see and do. This two-storey mall, located right just to the harbour, is known for its great nightlife. This mall is open until 1 a.m. One get’s to enjoy the great selection of beer and food in the pubs here. 5. 1st Avenue Mall

The Frist Avenue Mall is situated in the heart of the city, Penang is and is well known for its cleanliness and air conditioning. This mall isn’t big and you can expect less crowd here when compared to the above four malls. 

Though this mall is not large, it has some fashion shops such as Parkson and H&M. It also has the Watsons, Starbucks and other restaurants including Old Town White Coffee, Liang Taiwan Pancake, A&W, etc.

It is connected to Prangin mall and KOMTAR via overhead bridges. 1st Avenue is an ideal place for people looking for a comfortable lunch and a perfect place to organize social meetings.
