Costa Adeje is easily one of the best and most visited resorts in Tenerife. It is situated in a town which is a party hub and has a funky nightlife. Age does not matter here as there is plenty to do in Costa Adeje for everyone. Though this is a relatively expensive location, this energetic resort is totally worth it. Costa Adeje also boasts some of the island’s best beaches like Playa Fanabe, Puerto Colon and Playa del Duque.

Playa de las Americas

Being the largest resort in Tenerife, Playa de las Americas is built for one purpose. The sunlight coast is busy 24/7 and filled with amazing activities. This is also an excellent shopping location with a wide variety of street shops to upscale designer boutiques. Grab a drink and take in the majestic view of the sea by sitting on the palm-lined beachfront. The climate is always pleasant and the waters are ideal for swimming, surfing, diving and other adventure activities.

Los Gigantes

Just as the name suggests, Los Gigantes is grand and spectacular. Located at the foot of the Teno Massive Mountains, this resort is a true beauty. The hilly terrains slope down to the sea thus creating a unique landscape. Due to its peculiar location, there is not much nightlife as compared to other resorts. Los Gigantes has a lot of exceptional bars and dining options of diverse cuisines, and because of the variety of visitors here it houses plenty of entertainment options as well. This resort lies west of the island and due to its elevated location, it gets more sunlight than anywhere else. The black sand beach Playa Los Guios is the only beach in Los Gigantes and are suitable for all kind of tourists.

Puerto de la Cruz

Situated in the north of Tenerife island, this small resort town is much more true to its Canarian identity. It has authentic and historic buildings and restaurants. Playa Martianez is famous and it is the most visited and crowded beach. Compared to other resorts, Puerto de la Cruz is cooler and a bit cloudy at times, because of which both local and international tourists come here to relax from the heat in other parts. Winters here are often rainy and if anyone visiting during the months of January and February will be hugely disappointed.

Los Cristianos

Los Cristianos is the quiet neighbour of Playa de las Americas. What once was a low-key fishing village, has grown into a wanted tourist destination. One of the unique aspects of this town is the Playa los Cristianos, this beach was filled with golden sand from the Sahara desert. With countless bars, restaurant, cafes make sure to have then signature fresh seafood. Los Cristianos gives an authentic Spanish nightlife with cabaret bars and other similar establishments. The resort has good connectivity with other islands through ferry.

Playa de la Arena

Away from busy noises, the Playa de la Arena is quiet and peaceful. There are not many hotels here, and the black sand beaches are comparatively less crowded. The beachfront is lined with great dining options and bars as well. This is a more laid back and relaxed location, with a calm nightlife scene. People don’t come to Playa de la Arena for its nightlife, they come for its pristine beach and hiking trails to Los Gigantes.

Puerto Colon

Puerto Colon is an upscale resort, which is evident from its marine luxury full of luxury yachts and boats. Anyone who is a fan of adventure water activities must definitely visit the beach of Puerto Colon as there are plenty of options to choose from.
