As much as the city is buzzing with people, Auckland is equally dominant with the volcanoes. There are about 53 volcanoes in & around Auckland and what more reason do you want than they are totally free to explore. Few of the notable attractions that you should visit include Mt. Eden, One Tree Hill, Mangere Mountain, Mount Victoria, and Rangitoto. Amongst the list, Mt. Eden is at the highest natural point in the city and the views from there are splendid. Not to forget, the grounds of Mt. Eden were also an ancient archaeological site.

2. Check out the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge

Hanging over the Waitematā Harbour, the iconic Auckland Harbour Bridge is one of the top places to visit in Auckland. Dubbed as the ‘Coathanger’, the bridge offers enthralling views of the city for free. Try catching a sunrise or a sunset here and if you are lucky enough you can watch the bridge glow in all types of colours. Yes, the bridge is lit in bright colours during special days.
