The Quaint Little Andaman Islands. 

Little Andaman is the fourth largest island in the Andaman and Nicobar Archipelago of islands and is part of the Southern end of the Andaman islands. The little Andaman island is famous for its Red Oil Palm Plantation, beautiful waterfalls, pristine beaches, watersports activities and a lot more. It is a blissful getaway from the hustle and bustle. 

Whilst the majority of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands managed to escape the havoc of the 2004 tsunami, the Little Andaman Island was one of the most affected regions and completely wreaked havoc on the island. Since then the Island has been rebuilt, with hotels, resorts and stores being rebuilt.

Different ways to explore Little Andaman Islands

The Little Andaman Islands is clad with lush jungles and greenery, palm plantations, waterfalls, rock beaches. 

Spot Marine Turtles: As we walk across the many beaches in Little Andaman Island, we can spot marine turtles coming onto the shore of the island. These tiny beings are a delight to watch and is a must-do activity in Andaman.

Explore Waterfalls: The Little Andaman is home to two spectacular waterfalls called the Whisper wave and White surf waterfalls. These waterfalls are surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque landscapes and are one of the most beautiful treks in Andaman.  

Little Andaman Lighthouse: The Little Andaman Lighthouse gives one of the most spectacular views of the island and the ocean in front of it. This 200 steps lighthouse should be part of your visit to little Andaman.

Surfing and other water sport activities: Little Andaman is one of the most prominent locations in the Archipelago for its surfing hotspots. It is also a great place to experience snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing and coral watching.

How to reach little Andaman Island: 

The Little Andaman Island is in the southern corner of the Andaman archipelago and is 130 Km from Port Blair. You can take a 6 to 8-hour ferry or an overnight ferry to reach the Island.  

Tips while visiting the Little Andaman Island: 

1. Plan your visit to Little Andaman Island according to your preference. You can either take an overnight ferry or a 6-hour speedboat ride. 

2. Do not litter in the Island.

3. The Duong creek in the south bay and north bay is occupied by the Onge tribe and are off-limit for the visitors.
