Bali Visa Guidelines and Requirements

Bali is a Southeast Asian country located in Indonesia. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations to enjoy the best with your friends and family. Before curating your Bali packages from India, every traveler should acquire a Bali visa, which should be approved by the Indonesian Embassy. If you are travelling to Bali on a vacation trip then you can avail the on arrival visa at the Bali airport. When applying for a visa, make sure that your passport has a validity of at least 6 months. There are two types of tourist visas available for Indian citizens travelling to Bali. The first is a 30-day tourist visa, and the second is a 30 to 60-day tourist visa.

COVID Requirements

Every traveller visiting Bali should provide a valid COVID vaccination certificate reflecting that the passenger is fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the WHO (Covishield, Covaxin, and Pfizer) before the arrival in Bali. Non-vaccinated travellers should provide a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate issued within 48 hours before the scheduled flight departure to Bali.

On arrival tourist visa for stays of less than 30 days

As an Indian citizen, the visitor is exempt from needing a visa before the departure. On the arrival to Bali, the traveller would be given a visa extension stamp indicating on how many days the traveller would be staying in Bali. This visa extension stamp functions similar to the other regular visa, allowing the visitor to stay not more than 30 days in Bali.

Tourist visa for stay from 30 to 60 days in Bali

As an Indian citizen, who is travelling for a social and cultural cause needs to get a B-211 visa on arrival. This visa allows the applicant to stay in Bali for 30 to 60 days of time. The duration of this visa is valid for 60 days from the date of issue. The traveller can also extend the duration of the validity of the visa with a sponsor letter produced by an Indonesian citizen.

Documents required for a visa application

  • A valid passport with 6 months of validity before the date of arrival is required.
  • scanned copies of the applicant's visa form
  • Scanned colour photographs of the applicant with a white background
  • Scanned copies of airline tickets
  • Proof of residence in Bali, Indonesia
  • Proof of financial sufficiency
  • The applicant's bank statements for the past six months
  • A NOC letter from the father or husband for women travelling alone.

Bali Business Visa

Bali business visa is available for Indian travellers who are visiting Bali for business purposes. The validity of the business visa is for one year where the applicants can get the access for multiple entries.

Required documents for a business visa

  • A valid passport with 6 months of validity before the date of arrival.
  • scanned copies of the applicant's visa form
  • Scanned colour photographs of the applicant with a white background
  • Scanned copies of airline tickets
  • Proof of residence in Bali, Indonesia
  • Proof of financial sufficiency
  • The applicant's bank statements for the past six months
  • Cover letter from the organisation that employs the applicant
  • document proof for the business registration of the company in India.
  • An invitation letter from the organisation in Bali
  • The KTP identification document of the signing authority of the concerned organisation in Bali
  • Document stating travel insurance for the applicant

Visa Fees

  • If the applicant wishes to stay for a duration of 30 to 60 days, they can get a tourist visa upon arrival for Rs. 2400. An Indian national must pay Rs. 3000 at the immigration office for visa extentions. 
  • The B-211 visa can be purchased on arrival if the applicant plans to go to Bali for 30 to 60 days for social or cultural reasons. The B-211 visa holder may extend their visa up to four times for a total of 30 days, each time incurring a fee of around Rs. 2400. 
  • Applicants must pay Rs. 2900 to be approved for a business visa to Bali.
