Take the Chi Cheemaun ferry from the month of May to October. Just a two-hour drive from there will you will reach South Baymouth. You can burn some good amount of calories by doing it. If you would like to take the less travelled trail then there is the Bebamikawe Memorial Trail which is lesser-known and not so popular. The distance of the trail is 14 km hike. Put on your trekking shoes and you are ready to go!

5. Enjoy a meal at the Old School House

The Old Schoolhouse is a fine dining restaurant that is located in Providence Bay and is constructed like an old one-room schoolhouse. How about going back to the 18th century to enjoy the dining experience? The theme of the restaurant is so relaxing with soft lighting and music, where you can spend a perfect evening. The place is owned by Chef Greg Niven who moved to Manitoulin Island along with his wife Heather back in 1996 after mastering his skills in Toronto. At a reasonable price, the French-inspired menu offers a classic touch to your dining experience in Manitoulin. And never miss tasting the mouth-watering B52 Creme Brulee. Be an early bird or reserve a table here as the Old Schoolhouse is on a huge demand. A vacation can’t end without a good meal, right?

6. Paddle the North Channel

While you plan to paddle, make sure to visit Manitoulin Island at the right time of the month. When you are late and if you miss the full moon or when the weather is also bit rough there is a change in plan. Head to the Otter Lake where you can canoe under the stars with the Aboriginal Guide Falcon. At the Otter Lake, you can check with the local Fish and Wildlife department to make sure that the stream is open to the public.
