There’s nothing more exciting than starting our vehicles and jumping on the road with a bunch of buddies. Imagine rocking the road with just the sound of wind on your ears. India being a well diverse place full of wonders makes it all the better to get on a road trip. There are several road trips all over India that one can take.

This isn’t for the family vacationers out there. This is for the young college people or a couple interested in long rides. This sometimes can be physically tiring for some people who are trying it for the first time. So make sure to start off with shorter road trips to the nearby places. 1. Mumbai To Goa

If you prefer going on a road trip in your car this inarguably is the best place to visit. What better way to enjoy the scenic view of the western ghats. All though there are two routes thrill-seekers and those who love to see green pastures all the way choose Chiplun-Ratnagiri route via NH66, which is about 600 kms. Also, the best part about this road trips is the culinary quest of Dhabas all along the way. 

2. Manali to Leh

This is one breathtaking road trip for all bike lovers which simply cannot be expressed in words,  accompanying hard twists and turns, snow-covered mountains, distinct valleys, beautiful landscapes and stunning monasteries is all a part of this journey. The route to be taken is along Keylong and is about 500 kms. This is a must-do road trip of all the adventure seekers and those who love seeing things that make you forget everything along the way.

This is the best choice for the snow-clad mountains and mesmerizing Buddhist culture all the way. This route is all the more special because most of the year it is closed due to snow except for March to May, if you find yourself planning for a road trip at this time, you know where to press the pedal to. 

The route is along NH52 and NH229 and it covers a distance of 530 kms. 

4. Bangalore to Coorg

Transcending from concrete jungles to the lush green forest can be visibly seen along the way, Surrounded by the western ghats this route offers stunning landscapes and also a lot of restaurants along the way to enjoy the South Indian cuisine. This route is along NH 275 and is about 242 kms. 

This trip just doesn’t end after you reach Coorg, you have the final part of the ride on the mountainous roads with numerous bends climbing up with your buddies on the bike. It is good to have a nice jacket along with you as it gets cold as the altitude increases.

5. Ahmedabad to Kutch

This is the best way to take a trip to the gorgeous Land of the White. Admiring the landscape, delicious food and the rich culture of Gujarat is one of the best parts of this tour. The straight route with white all around is a beautiful aspect for a bike trip. This is a great choice for a solo bike ride. Places along the coast of Gujarat this is about 400 kms. 

6. Kolkata to Digha

This is a scenic stretch of 190 kms that is lined with trees and picture-perfect landscapes that will leave drivers awestruck. Digha can be reached from Kolkata within four hours via NH16 and NH116B, and there are scores of dhabas along the way to stay fueled.

This is a common getaway for the people of Kolkata and is best in the time of sunset or sunrise. 

7. Darjeeling to Pelling

Places all the way are tea gardens, majestic mountain views and green landscapes on all sides. This is a trip to behold. To truly enjoy nature at its best this is the suggested trip. Stopping for tea breaks is one of the nest parts of this journey. Set 72 kms apart, the journey takes about 3-4 hours. 

8. Chennai to Yelagiri 

Those who love nature will simply fall for this trip like a leaf in autumn. Another must-visit place for the bikers. All along the way are green hills, pastures and waterfalls of the south. The best road trip to try out the true South Indian Cuisine has to be Chennai to Yelagiri. The multiple hairpins bend along the way is a test for one’s driving skills. By taking the NH46, this route is around 230 kms.

This is one of the relaxed routes in the list, without many vehicles. Just the road and your bike till reach Yelagiri where you will be awestruck by the natural beauty of that place.

9. Hyderabad To Kannur

It is a road trip from city life to God’s own country. There can’t be a better road trip that ends at the serene, private beaches of Kannur.

Taking about 14 hours covering a distance of 900 kms, by the route NH7. The best thing about this road trip is to indulge yourself in Hyderabad food and upgrade your Biriyani Pallets. 

10. The Golden Triangle

The list would have been incomplete without the Golden Triangle covering Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. This infamous road trip is remarkably picture perfect and has a lot of pit stops for tourists to hit the dhabas and try north Indian food. Thus route also offers certain places to visit in the trip. Covering 480 kms this route offers the best of the ancient Indian Architecture all the way.
