My experience with PYT was great. The Visa team(Afrose) answered all my queries and provided proper assistance in getting me the AU visa. There were few misunderstandings with the PYT sales team but SriRaman (account owner) helped clear up all my concerns. On one occasion when one of the internal flights got cancelled as the airlines went under and I wasnt aware of the cancellation, he took initiative in getting me tickets on another airline even though it was a holiday for him. The support team followed up with me regularly during the trip to see if I needed any assistance. Overall, it was a good trip and I enjoyed it.

We recently booked our Australia trip through Pickyourtrail and I must say, it was a great experience! Navin, our point of contact, did an excellent job planning our itinerary. The trip was well-organized, with all the key details taken care of, allowing us to enjoy the vacation stress-free. What stood out the most was their 24x7 support during the entire trip. Whether we had a question or needed assistance, their team was always just a message away. It was reassuring to know we had that kind of support, especially in a new country. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and Id highly recommend Pickyourtrail to anyone looking for a seamless and well-supported travel experience. Thank you, Navin, for making our trip memorable!

Frequently Asked Questions About Australia Travel

How much does an Australia trip cost from India?

A 7-day Australia trip from India typically costs between Rs. 2,50,000 to Rs. 3,50,000 per person for mid-range travel. This includes round-trip flights (Rs. 50,000-1,20,000), accommodation (Rs. 8,000-15,000 per night), meals (Rs. 1,500-3,000 daily), local transport, and major experiences like Great Barrier Reef tours or Sydney attractions. Budget travellers can manage with Rs. 1,80,000-2,50,000 by choosing hostels, self-catering and free activities, while luxury travellers should budget Rs. 4,00,000 or more.

Do Indians need a visa for Australia?

Yes, Indian citizens require a visa to visit Australia. The subclass 600 tourist visa allows stays up to 3 months and must be applied for online through the official Australian immigration website. The application process typically takes 2-4 weeks, but it can extend during peak seasons, so apply at least 4-6 weeks before your planned departure date. The visa is valid for 12 months and allows multiple entries during that period.

What are the must-visit places in Australia?

First-time visitors should prioritise Sydney (Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach), the Great Barrier Reef for snorkelling and diving, Melbourne for culture and coffee, and Uluru for its spiritual significance and stunning sunsets. One should also try the Great Ocean Road for spectacular coastal scenery or the Gold Coast for beaches and theme parks.

What’s the best time to visit Australia?

The best time to visit Australia depends on your chosen destinations. For most regions, including Sydney, Melbourne, and southern areas, spring (September-November) and autumn (March-May) offer ideal weather with fewer crowds and reasonable prices. Summer (December-February) is perfect for beach holidays but brings peak crowds and high prices. For tropical North Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef, winter (June-August) provides the best conditions with clear waters and pleasant temperatures. Avoid northern Australia during summer due to extreme heat and monsoon rains.

Is Australia safe for Indian tourists?

Australia ranks among the safest destinations in the world, thereby making it a safe destination for Indian tourists. Key cultural differences include the casual, laid-back attitude (calling everyone "mate"), direct communication style, and emphasis on outdoor activities. The strong sun requires constant sun protection. Beach safety is crucial; always swim between flags at patrolled beaches to avoid rip currents.

Feedback for Pickyourtrail (8/10): Pros: The service was truly impeccableby far the best I have experienced in the travel industry. The speed of response from Chandana was phenomenal, and I was genuinely impressed with how efficiently everything was managed. The tailor-made itinerary from Evans was perfectly suited to our needs. A standout feature was the 24*7 supportyou could text them anytime during the trip with any doubt, and they were always quick to respond. Cons: The hotel in Melbourne, while having a good room, lacked housekeeping, which was a bit of a drawback. Additionally, more guidance on the nightlife in Australia would have been helpful, especially noting that most places close around 5-6 PM. Some insights into the actual city vibes would have enhanced the experience. Another issue was with the Boxing Day Test match. We were promised Day 1 tickets, but they got sold out, and we had to settle for Day 2 tickets instead, which was a bit of compromise. Overall, a great trip organized with top-notch service, and I look forward to planning future vacations with Pickyourtrail!

We are very happy with your service - right from the choice of destination, planning day wise itinerary, booking hotels and tours, visa application and also the prompt response from your team 24*7 during the trip. The airlines chosen was one of the best. The hotel stay at Sheraton Melbourne and Ibis Sydney were a great experience. All the tour guides / operators provided for day tours were knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. All the pickups and drops to and fro from the airport were dot on time. My family trip to Australia - Melbourne, Gold Coast and SydneyIt all started with the planning stage about 6 months backMs Suman and Ms Sangeetha helped me out in charting the entire travel plan. They were extremely patient in answering all my queries regarding the hotel rooms and the facilities in the apartments. The next step of getting Visa was seamless with the help of Mr Afrose who guided me in getting all the documents organisedFollowing which was the guidance by Mr Asfahan for all the corrections in the vouchers and scheduling the entire trip perfectlyWe landed in Melbourne at Absolute Collins but unfortunately there was an issue in getting the keys. There was no receptionist and none were aware about where to get the keys. Ms Punnagai and Mr Vignesh assisted me promptly, they organised a family room in a nearby hotel (Novotel) and arranged for the keys the next day.The apartment was good, well located in front of the tram station and well equipped with all the amenities but there was no windows and ventilation. Major disadvantage is that there is no receptionist concept there and there’s no immediate point of contact which becomes difficult at times of crisis. However we were able to connect with the owner whose number was shared by Ms PunnagaiAll the sight seeing trips went on very well as planned.Philip Island is a mandatory one and the Penguin parade was out of the world with nature at its best🐧Great ocean drive, though it was a 600 km drive, it was worth itThen we flew to Gold Coast and stayed at Breakfree breakpoint, Surfers Paradise which is again the centre point, accessible to all places. The apartment was fantastic, right in front of the beach with all amenities and breathtaking view of the entire city. It was well ventilated with glass doors and windows throughout. The Dreamworld theme park was good. However the white water world was closed since it’s colder month. Our final spot was Sydney and we stayed at Nesuto Woolloomolloo apartment which again was spacious and good. However we felt that they were bit strict even about minor things and the kitchen had minimal utensils.Opera guided tour was awesome and the sea life, zoo and madam tussades were interesting. We went as per our plan and the timings in the tickets and enjoyed every bit of it.A Watsapp group was formed by the team and heads up was given about the Day to day activities and the team guided us throughout our trip.Though we traveled 3 cities with 5 of us and 10 luggages, there was absolutely no hiccups in the transfers to and from the airport. It was perfectly arranged.Overall it was a great and wonderful experience except for the initial glitch.I would like to thank the entire PICK YOUR TRAIL team especially Ms Sangeetha,Ms Suman, Mr Afrose, Mr Asfahan, Ms Punnagai and Mr Vignesh for all their assistance and timely help which made our holiday a memorable one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Used Pickyourtrail for trips to Australia (2019) and Maldives (2021) and the experience was very good. The executives were helpful and responsive during the booking process and throughout the trip. There were changes to be done to the itinerary during a trip, which was handled very well. Plus their recommendations for hotels, restaurants, activities and nearby attractions were very good.Their deals on the app are pretty decent. Would definitely recommend.
