No more pre-arrival Covid test in Thailand! Will this attract more Indian Tourists?

Thailand has lifted all its pre-arrival covid tests to increase the requirement for international arrivals beginning April 1, 2022. The international visitors will still need to take an RT-PCR test upon arrival. They will also need to take a self-administered rapid antigen test on the fifth day in the country, said Taweesin Visanuyothin, a spokesperson for the government’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration.

Corona has deeply hammered the country’s crucial tourism industry! It accounts for about a fifth of the country’s economy and was one of the most growing sectors as well. To restore the tourism sector, Thailand has taken these steps!

Thailand has administered 126 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines and more than 78% of the population, have been vaccinated with at least one vaccine jab. Whereas 50 million people have received at least two jabs and around 22 million have received booster doses.
