1. The Buckingham Palace

The popular residence of Britain’s Monarch, since the reign of Queen Victoria, the Buckingham Palace is an all-time crowd favourite. From weddings to coronations, the Palace has witnessed many Royal celebrations. How to Reach The Buckingham Palace

You can reach Buckingham palace from several bus routes, Underground stations, and other means. The closest Underground stations are Victoria, Green Park, Hyde Park Corner.

  • Child – 13.5 euros – between the age of 5 to 16 years

2. Palace of Westminster

The home of current UK politics, it is also called the House of Parliament. This was originally built to use as a Royal residence. The original palace was destroyed in the fire of 1834, and the structure was rebuilt by Mr. Charles Barry. The Westminster hall that survived the fire is the oldest part of the Palace. The Westminster palace is home to the largest medieval wooden roof in northern Europe.

How to Reach Palace of Westminster

The visitor entry point to the Palace at 3 St. Margaret’s Street,  opposite to  St. Margaret’s Church. The closest Underground Station is Westminster, which connects the District, Jubliee and Circle Lines.

  • Child – 12 euros – between 5 and 15  years

Traveller Tip 

After visiting the Palace grounds, go on the opposite side of Thames to get some really nice shots of the building. It’s also free to watch the House of Commons debate. Do check the website in advance to find the schedule of the topics they will be debating during a given date & time.

3. Kensington Palace 

Once a Private house, this was the home of Princess Diana and the birthplace of Queen Victoria. This Palace leaves its visitors fascinated, with its 242-acre gardens, and luxurious rooms decked with the Victorian theme. In each area of the Palace, you’ll find knowledgeable staff exchanging tales about Royal balls and Highwaymen. You will discover 300 years of Royal History and get to play some Georgian board games!

How to Reach 

The nearest stations are Queensway or  High Street Kensington, both a 10-15 walk away from the Palace. All of London’s hop-on, hop-off buses have a stop for on the south side of the Kensington Palace Gardens

Traveller Tip

Keep aside at least two hours as you would love to spend some time by the lake. As the weather is always amazing there. Late evenings are the best time to visit as the crowds are lesser.
