Dubai often called the “City of Gold” is a leading economic hub in the Middle East. Home to the World’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, the city of Dubai also boasts of flaunting the first seven-star hotel, the Burj Al Arab. Situated in the central part of the city, the Mall of the Emirates is accessible via metro and bus services thus making it easy for people who live away from the main town to visit as well. Yes, you read it right. The Mall of the Emirates has a majestic zone called a Ski Slope specially built for skiing, snowboarding, or even the evergreen quaint activity of building a snowman. Adults and kids can have a great time at this place and you just won’t get enough. This place is literally like a snow world on another universe since you can experience some major sophistication in terms of even a Gandola ride over the snowy slopes. There are cute little happy penguins at this place and for Dubai being a city where it does not snow, this place is heavenly. A lot of celebrities visit the Mall of the Emirates especially for undertaking Skiing experience.

Watch a movie

This is fun any day right? What’s going to a mall without watching a good movie along with your family or friends and munching on some popcorn. The Vox Cinemas in the Mall of the Emirates have Standard, 4DX, Kids, and IMAX ranges to choose from making it the largest cinema set up in the Middle East. Apart from the evergreen popcorn buckets and ice tea, you can also savour some scrumptious gourmet meals post your movie.

Shopping, Shopping, Shopping!

Let alone all other activities, the first view that greets you in any mall is that of shops that have a plethora of different collections of articles to choose from. Designer wear, accessories, household and wellness items, renowned exclusive brand outlets, gift shops, and book stores are among the various options at the Mall of the Emirates. Go on a shopping spree at the humongous mall and you will be spoilt for choice. So much so, that the Mall of Emirates will compel you to fill your shopping carts up to the brim before you leave.

How to reach the mall

The Mall of the Emirates is located in one of the most central parts of the City of Dubai near the Burj Khalifa. There are multiple ways to reach the mall. You can take your self-drive car and park it at the mall’s parking lot which has space for more than 5000 cars to be parked. The hop-on-hop-off bus tours in the city stop at the most renowned attractions throughout the day, so you can technically just hop-off at the stop of the Mall of the Emirates. The best way to reach the mall is via the metro which has a connection to the mall itself since the line stops on the first floor of the mall on an overhead walkway. A lot of visitors prefer to take the metro to the Mall of the Emirates as it directly takes them to the interior of the mall. The Mall of the Emirates is open from 10:00 am to midnight.

With a footfall of more than 40 million people per year, the Mall of the Emirates is an ideal place that you and your family should visit at least once during your vacation. With that being said, you will be surprised to know that just a day of shopping at the mall would not suffice. The Ski slope is sure to take up most of your time and will leave you craving for more.
