Update as of November 2020: Longing for a Mauritius holiday? Who wouldn’t? ‘Mauritius has opened its borders to tourists’ is everything that we needed to hear, right? But has it? Check out this article for updates on the latest movements in Mauritius tourism, what’s allowed and what’s not.
What’s happening in regards to air travel to Mauritius?
Mauritius has opened its borders and allows international flights. Any Mauritian national, residents of the country and tourists who are travelling to Mauritius for education, tourism and work for a longer duration are allowed. But like many countries, a negative PCR test result that was taken within 7 days prior to the travel date is a must. Expect longer waiting times at the airport than usual, be true to all the questions asked and have all the documents ready. Kindly note that the passengers are not allowed to transit through Mauritius.
