Thailand announces free visa on arrival for Indians till October 2019

Thailand has extended the privilege of free visa on arrival for India and China in the existing list of 17 countries till October 2019. This bold move may be attributed to the dip in Thailand’s tourism in the first half of 2019, and the consequent decline in the arrival forecast from 40.2M to 39-39.8M.

Thailand’s Tourism Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn says this timely move on a free visa can realign their growth track, given October to March is the peak season to visit Thailand. Also Check: Maldives Visa for Indians.

Who are eligible?

The other countries that can avail free visa on arrival are Mauritius, Bhutan, China, Saudi Arabia, Fiji, Ethiopia, San Marino, Latvia, Bulgaria, Taiwan, Cyprus, Uzbekistan, Romania, Andora, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Malta, and Papua New Guinea.

Terms and conditions:

➤ Your passport should be valid at least for 30 days from your day of arrival.

➤ This policy allows you to stay for a period of 15 days, and you need to show your return ticket to confirm your exit. Note that anything other than a flight ticket (bus, train etc) will not be accepted.

➤ You need to submit a valid address proof of your hotel or apartment i.e., where you are planning to stay.
