This is a famous black and white monument built in order to honour J.W.W Birch, a British man who was considered as one of the first inhabitants. This clock tower was built in 1909 sadly after his assassination took place in 1875. At the top of the tower, there are four figures who are considered to depict the four virtues of the English government.

While you here you can also take a tour to the plantation. You can get the aerial views of the acres of Agarwood trees. There is a famous tree which is 20 years old and the belief is that hugging the tree can bring good fortune to you.

The Ulu Geroh Rafflesia is a giant flower that grows only in this part of the world, Sounds more like an old Hollywood movie. This trail is to the village Called Ulu Geroh in Gopeng. Not only this rare flower, but this place is also a home for a wide variety of flora and Fauna. Some of the notable ones are durian orchards and rubber plantation is very commonly found out here.
And The fun fact about this giant flower is that it has a very pungent smell, as it is called the Corpse plant. You might need a guide for this trek as it grows only in specific locations. And finding a guide who can communicate in English shouldn’t be a problem.
Called as the memory lane is the flea market in Jalan Lim Bo Seng. The market comes to life only on Sundays and starting from the morning. You can find a huge number of goods with the likes of Souvenirs and other local antiques.
