Why Bali Should Be Your Next Holiday Destination
Bali is one of the few destinations in the world that genuinely has it all. In a single trip, you can meditate at dawn in an ancient Hindu temple, surf world-class waves by mid-morning, share a rijsttafel feast at a colonial plantation house for lunch, and watch the legendary Kecak fire dance under a molten sunset. No wonder it consistently tops the bucket lists of Indian travellers year after year.
Here's what makes Bali irresistible:
- Cultural depth — Bali is the only Hindu-majority island in predominantly Muslim Indonesia, giving it a rich, distinct spiritual identity. Ornate temples, daily offerings, and living traditions make every street feel like a ceremony waiting to happen.
- Natural beauty in abundance — Volcanic mountains, UNESCO-listed rice terraces, sacred lakes, hidden waterfalls, and some of Asia's best beaches all coexist within a 150 km wide island.
- Unbeatable value for Indians — A premium hotel, a spa treatment, a candlelit dinner, and a private villa pool can all be yours for a fraction of what you'd spend in Europe.
- Direct flights from India — Multiple airlines operate direct and one-stop flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad, making Bali one of the most accessible international destinations for Indian travellers.
- Warm, welcoming people — The Balinese are renowned across the world for their genuine warmth, artistic sensibility, and generous hospitality.
Popular Bali Tour Packages for Every Kind of Traveller
No two travellers want the same Bali. That's why our Bali packages span every travel style and budget, each one crafted by experts who've actually walked those rice paddy paths and watched those Uluwatu sunsets.
Bali Honeymoon Packages for Couples
Bali was practically invented for romance. Imagine waking up in a private pool villa, the jungle humming softly outside, a breakfast of tropical fruits and fresh coconut waiting on your terrace. A Bali honeymoon package from PickYourTrail turns that vision into your reality — with curated experiences like couple's spa rituals, sunset sailing, candlelit dinners on the beach, and stays at some of the island's most celebrated romantic retreats.
Our Bali honeymoon packages for couples typically include 5 to 7 nights, transfers, daily breakfast, hand-picked activities, and 24/7 support — so all you have to focus on is each other.
Popular honeymoon routes: Seminyak + Ubud | Nusa Dua + Ubud + Nusa Penida | Kuta + Canggu + Ubud
Bali Family Holiday Packages
Bali is a brilliant family destination — provided you pick the right neighbourhoods and activities. Our Bali family tour packages are engineered for mixed-age groups: toddler-friendly beach resorts in Nusa Dua, turtle conservation experiences for curious kids, white-water rafting on the Ayung River for the teens, and a rice-field cycling tour for everyone. We take care of the logistics — transfers, child-friendly meals, and age-appropriate activities — so your family simply has to show up and explore.
Budget Bali Packages
Bali rewards the budget-conscious traveller like few other international destinations. With PickYourTrail's curated budget Bali packages, you can experience the best of the island — great accommodation, guided day trips, and authentic local food — without breaking the bank. Packages starting from ₹25,000 per person cover flights, 4-star stays, airport transfers, and key sightseeing.
Luxury Bali Tour Packages
For travellers who insist on the extraordinary, our luxury Bali tour packages open the doors to a different island entirely. Think cliff-top private villas in Uluwatu, helicopter rides over Bali's volcanic peaks, private cooking classes with celebrated Balinese chefs, bespoke spa journeys, and butler-serviced beach dinners. These packages are crafted by invitation — tell us what you want, and we'll make it happen.
Bali Adventure Packages
Bali is an adventure playground hiding behind a spa brochure. Our adventure Bali packages are built for the traveller who wants their pulse to race — white-water rafting, volcano treks at sunrise, cliff-diving in Nusa Penida, ATV rides through rice paddies, and scuba diving along spectacular coral walls. Every adventure is paired with safe, certified operators because we never compromise on your safety.
Best Places to Visit in Bali — Our Curated Area Guide
Understanding Bali's distinct neighbourhoods is the key to building the perfect itinerary. Most Bali tour packages lump everything together, but the island's character changes dramatically from one region to the next.
Ubud: The Cultural Heart of Bali
Nestled between soaring volcanoes and deep river gorges, Ubud is Bali at its most soulful. This is where you come for yoga retreats, traditional Balinese dance performances, rice terrace walks through Tegallalang and Jatiluwih, cooking classes, and world-class wellness. The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and the Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave) are just two of the many historically rich sites within minutes of each other. Almost every Bali honeymoon itinerary includes at least two nights in Ubud — and with good reason.
Best for: Honeymooners, culture lovers, wellness seekers, photographers
Seminyak & Kuta: Where the Party Never Stops
Kuta is the beating, boisterous heart of tourist Bali — a beachside strip of surf schools, beach bars, nightclubs, and souvenir shops. Seminyak, just north, is Kuta's sophisticated older sibling: stylish boutique hotels, rooftop sunset bars, Michelin-quality restaurants, and long, gorgeous stretches of beach. Together, they form the most visited part of Bali, and an essential component of most Bali packages.
Best for: Solo travellers, groups of friends, first-time visitors, surfers
Nusa Dua: Bali's Luxury Coastal Strip
Nusa Dua is where Bali's most exclusive resorts — the Grand Hyatt, the Westin, the Ritz-Carlton, the Sofitel — line a pristine, gated coastline. The beaches here are calm, clean, and protected from the stronger surf, making it ideal for families with young children and for honeymooners who want absolute peace. Our Bali honeymoon packages frequently include two to three nights here.
Best for: Luxury travellers, honeymooners, families
Canggu: Bali for the Free Spirit
Canggu has transformed over the last decade from a quiet surfing village into Bali's coolest neighbourhood — a mix of digital nomads, wellness devotees, surf culture, and outstanding restaurants. Echo Beach and Batu Bolong Beach are perennial favourites for sunsets. The café culture here is outstanding, and you'll find vegan bowls, artisan coffee, and smoothie bars on every corner.
Best for: Solo travellers, extended stays, digital nomads, foodies
Uluwatu: Clifftop Drama and Sunset Rituals
High on Bali's southern Bukit Peninsula, Uluwatu is a world of cliffside temples, limestone caves, and world-famous surf breaks. The Uluwatu Temple — perched 70 metres above crashing waves — is one of Bali's most photographed landmarks. Every evening, the Kecak fire dance performance at sunset here is genuinely one of the most spectacular experiences available anywhere in Southeast Asia.
Best for: Honeymooners, photographers, surfers, spiritual travellers
Best Time to Visit Bali
Bali is a year-round destination, but timing your trip wisely makes a difference. Here's what you need to know before you book Bali packages:
Dry Season (April to October) — Best Overall
This is peak Bali season. The skies are reliably clear, humidity is moderate, and outdoor activities — trekking, diving, surfing, sightseeing — are at their best. July and August see the largest international crowds, especially from Europe and Australia. Book early if you're travelling during this window.
Wet Season (November to March) — Best for Budget Travellers
The wet season brings heavy afternoon showers, but Bali doesn't shut down — not by a long shot. Mornings are often sunny, the landscape is lush and vivid, and accommodation rates can drop significantly. This is an excellent time for spa retreats, cultural immersion in Ubud, and rainforest exploration.
For Indian Travellers — Sweet Spots:
- October–November: Post-monsoon freshness, fewer crowds, competitive prices
- December–January: Year-end festive travel; book well in advance
- April–June: Before the European summer rush; great weather, manageable crowds

I recently planned my Bali trip with Pickyourtrail, and overall it was a smooth and hassle-free experience. From bookings, visa assistance, and itineraries to on-ground coordination, everything was handled very well. The team was proactive, responsive, and always available to help, which made the trip very convenient and stress-free. A special thanks to Mithun, Vaishnavi, Mahalakshmi, Keertana, Anit, and Selina for their constant support. The stays were a mixed experience the first villa was visually beautiful but had some service and food-related gaps, and its distance from key locations added to travel time. However, the stay at Merusaka was excellent and truly a 5-star experience. There were also a few minor gaps with itinerary execution on-ground, but these were addressed by the team. Overall, despite a few small hiccups, I had a great experience and would recommend Pickyourtrail for a well-planned vacation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What is the best Bali tour package for a honeymoon?
For honeymooners, we recommend a 6–7 night Bali honeymoon package combining Ubud (2 nights for cultural immersion and jungle romance) with Seminyak or Nusa Dua (3–4 nights for beach, spa, and fine dining). A private pool villa is a must. PickYourTrail's honeymoon packages include romantic add-ons like in-villa breakfast, couple spa sessions, and a candlelit beach dinner.
Q2. What is the ideal duration for a Bali trip?
7 nights / 8 days is the sweet spot for a comprehensive Bali tour package — enough time to explore multiple regions without feeling rushed. Shorter 5-night trips work well if you stay in 1–2 areas. For a thorough island experience including Ubud, Seminyak, Nusa Dua, and a day trip to Nusa Penida, 8 nights is ideal.
Q3. How much does a Bali trip cost for 2 people from India?
A mid-range Bali package for 2 people from India (including flights, 4-star hotel, transfers, and guided tours) typically costs between ₹1,20,000 to ₹1,80,000 for 6 nights. Luxury options in private villas range from ₹2,50,000 to ₹4,00,000+. Budget packages can bring costs down to ₹70,000–₹1,00,000 for two.
Q4. Is Bali safe for Indian tourists?
Bali is one of the safest international destinations for Indian travellers. The Balinese are exceptionally welcoming, and the island has a well-established tourism infrastructure. As with any international travel, standard precautions apply — keep your valuables secure, stay on marked trekking paths, and use sunscreen.
Q5. Do I need a visa to travel to Bali from India?
Indian passport holders receive a visa-on-arrival (VOA) at Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport. As of 2025, the VOA fee has been waived for Indians. The visa is valid for 30 days and can be extended once. Always verify the latest visa policy with us before travel, as regulations may change.
Q6. What are the must-visit places in Bali?
The essential Bali places to visit include Ubud (rice terraces, temples, art markets), Seminyak (beach and nightlife), Uluwatu (cliff-top temple, Kecak dance), Tanah Lot (sea temple at sunset), Nusa Penida (manta rays, Kelingking Beach), and Mount Batur (sunrise volcano trek).
Q7. Can I customise my Bali tour package?
Absolutely — customisation is the core of what PickYourTrail does. You can choose your hotel category, travel dates, preferred activities, type of transport, dietary requirements, and add-ons like honeymoon surprises or photography sessions. Every Bali package is built specifically for you.
Q8. What is the best time to visit Bali for Indians?
The best time to book Bali packages from India is during the dry season (April to October) for the best weather. For value travellers, October–November offers a great balance of weather and price. The festive December–January period is popular but books up fast — plan 3–4 months in advance.
