Fauna in these islands is, to some degree, restricted to 50 kinds of birds, 14 reptiles, 16 wild animals, and 5 land and water species. These animals are, for example, ocean turtles and pythons.

When To Visit Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park 

The Ang Thong National Park has strong breezes and rains during November and December; thus, it is shut during these months. The oceans are quiet and the climate hot and impeccable among February and October, which would be a perfect time for a little while to the park.

You can book a visit through the boat from Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao, Park officers, control the entrance to the parks. It costs INR 1000/ – per individual (non-Thai guest). You can go to the park either on a ship or rent a speedboat carrying 30 people, which is quicker, however, more costly. Continuously make sure to book your visits through a trusted agent.

Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park has different boat trips that take you around the park for touring, exploring caverns and many more activities. 

1. Wua Ta Lap: Check out the view 

This view is one of the well-known attractions of the park, it takes around 30 minutes to trek this 500m steep path, yet the view from the top is entirely astonishing as you get an all-encompassing view on the national park. Wear appropriate trekking shoes and comfortable attire.

2. Water sports

There are various ways to take a boat and kayak through alongside shores that you can do diving and see the coral and marine life. There are beaches where you can unwind and swim too. Kayaking, Boating, Scuba diving are popular among the best water sport activities here.

3. Ko Mae Ko: Take a visit 

This island otherwise called the mother island is the place the renowned emerald later is found and where the film “The Beach” by Alex Garland was shot, the lake itself is surrounded with limestone bluffs and with the ocean through submerged caverns, there are also kayaking and swimming spots.

4. Ko Sam Sao: Go outdoors

This island has a few beaches, coral reefs, and even outdoor areas where you can set up a shelter and camp, tents can be rented from the home office on Ko Wua Ta Lap. This island also has a natural stone bridge that bends out into the ocean and some hiking grounds.
