Initially, this park was opened with a name of “Langkawi Bird Paradise” in 2002 as it contained many species of birds, But later it was renamed to Langkawi Wildlife Park in January 2006, with the addition of many mammals, reptiles and other creatures of the animal kingdom. The Wildlife Park in Langkawi and Bird Paradise cover an approximate area of 5.5 acres, it houses over 2,500 exotic birds as of today, ranging within 150 species from all around the globe.

Attractions of Wildlife Park

The Walk-in-aviary is the main highlight of the park which attracts a lot of visitors and one can find a large number of colourful love birds or the Budgerigars who fly freely. Other sections of the park where tourists can indulge are a walk by the amazing orchid garden witnessing full of white and vibrant orchids, a Mammals section where you can witness many types of animals like rabbits, racoons, guinea pigs etc. A 15 feet man-made waterfall is situated next to the aviary where you can click pictures together.

Once done encountering the wildlife at the Wildlife Park in Langkawi, one can also explore some other exciting places like Brahminy Kite Cafe, an on-site restaurant where you can savour upon some delicious dishes along with some snacks, coffee and fruits. How To Reach Wildlife Park

The Wildlife Park in Langkawi location is Lot 1485, Jalan Ayer Hangat, Kampung Belanga Pecah, 07000 Langkawi. The time taken to reach Langkawi International Airport is around half an hour and is at a distance of 30 kilometres. The distance between the park and the Kuah Town and is about 8.5 kilometres and it is situated near the Kilim area and which would take approximately 10 minutes by taxi.

Entry Ticket for Wildlife Park

The Wildlife Park in Langkawi entrance fee for an adult (age 13 or above) is 39 RM (Malaysian ringgit) or approximately 650 INR whereas it is RM 22 ( approx. 370 INR) for a child (ages 3-12) and a senior citizen (age 55 or above).

Best Time To Visit Wildlife Park

The opening hours of Wildlife Park are from 08:30 hours in the morning to 19:00 hours in the evening. The park is open every day. Ensure before visiting this place that the ticket window is open for certain hours after which no one can purchase the tickets and the entry closes. The ticket window remains open only till 06:00 PM.
