Kinabalu Park was Malaysia’s first UNESCO world heritage site. It is also an important landsite with more than 4,500 species of flora and fauna. Kinabalu Park is a completely different scene from the usual city life. It gives a touch of everything related to nature. You can take long walks in the pleasant weather without the sound of vehicles that you may be used to. Many of the plant species found here are endemic to this region. You can even expect to find rare plant species such as the Rafflesia flower here. Kinabalu west and Kinabalu east are separated by a U-shaped gorge which is 1.5 km deep.

Jalan Alor comes alive with the aroma of food every evening. This street in KL is cramped with hawker stalls that sell delicious and mouth-watering delicacies. The street turns into an open air restaurant, with plastic chairs and tables, in the evening. If you’re craving street food while you’re at Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Alor is the place to go to satisfy your cravings. You can feast on dishes like grilled chicken wings, dim sum, wantons, fish etc. Be sure to try local fruits when they are in season.

Jacques Cousteau, a French film maker said, “I have seen other places like Sipadan, 45 years ago, but now no more. Now we have found an untouched piece of art.” The turtle tomb in Sipandan is an underwater cave which is a labyrinth of tunnels and passageways. Here, one can find hundreds of turtle skeletons. These turtles are believed to have died from asphyxiation because they couldn’t find their way out of the underwater cave. Every diver must exercise precautions before planning on exploring the tombs.
